Are you serious? He's 100% going to do the endurance race circuit. He does all the virtual ones. I bet before he's 30 or maybe even after 26 if RB don't make a competitive car, he takes a year off to run the endurance circuit.

Fair enough, I knew he did the virtual endurance races but I had not heard him talking about doing it for real. I did some googling, and I like what I'm seeing:
quote:

“I want to try different kinds of discipline,” he says. “So probably a bit more endurance.”

“No ovals,” he stresses. “Just 24-hour races. Because I like to drive different kind of cars as well. Like I already do it now, like whatever GT3 cars and stuff.”

“I really enjoy testing myself in different kinds of machinery because I think you can learn from it and become an even better driver,” he explains. “So that’s what I want to do in the future.”

“Maybe even during my F1 career. But that’s [if] the schedule would allow that as well. At the moment that’s a bit hard to combine when we also go to more and more races.”

That last quote is very encouraging, but he's right, the ridiculous F1 schedule makes it tough now. I'll be very intrigued to see him in other series. And I'd like to see him do it when he's still pretty young. Alonso has shown you can leave F1 and come back. And a young Max would certainly have more options than Alonso in a return to F1.

Unforunately he only seems to be interested in WEC, and maybe Daytona. There are numerous other interesting series he can try for fun. An IndyCar road race, Aussie Supercars, Super GT, IMSA. So far I don't anticipate him pulling a Kimi or Alonso and trying WRC or Dakar.

I could see Max trying to do 24 Hours of Daytona while still in F1, considering they run it in late January and he shouldn't have any commitments with F1 at that time of year. Would be a coup for IMSA to get the reigning F1 champ to race.

I imagine VER will go for the triple crown at some point...

Monaco GP
Indy 500*
Le Mans

*Edited to add:

"The Stewards" reviewed my post.

Hey, The Stewards, can y'all provide a cumulative season score breakdown for our little F1 season-long competition, which is being held on the internet?

He’ll just have to push the boundaries on track limits to make it slightly not an oval

Yes!

There are a couple of folks that have been at or near the top each week (not me obviously ) and they deserve some glory, even though it's early and the Ferrari WCC comeback has yet to start...

Had a Tag Heuer F1 until it disappeared. I'm assuming some slut walked off with it.

Debated not posting this, because the politics side always throws this thread to a shitshow, but found it to be funny. Seb was ahead of his time.

Wanted to give a recommendation for any technical F1 folks for the Tech Heads F1 Podcast

*Disclaimer*
This is some next-level nerd shite, I'm a former mechanical engineer who participated in Formula SAE so I love listening to some detailed shite. So if you know what laminar and turbulent flow is or care about the finer points of gurney flaps then this may be for you.
