I hope someone will do an analysis on if the 2022 car design actually improved the quality of the racing.

Before this thread goes off to the afterlife, I just want to take a moment to remind everyone that there was a rumor that the drivers were being held hostage / threatened in Saudi Arabia.

I still find that whole weekend to be surreal.

Redbull posting all kinds of stuff about Danny Ric being back... I'll give it half season into 2023 before Checo is pushed out for Danny.

No matter how much they put lipstick on it, hard to imagine Max and Checo's relationship isn't permanently shot, especially after the comments from Max's family on checo cheating on his wife.

Won't have that luxury with the signing of Ricciardo, Checo is on a SHORT leash!

Sorry was referring to this statement, the signing of Ricciardo makes this very unlikely to happen

Ricciardo will have to show he’s capable of driving at the level needed to benefit verstappen for that to happen. That’s not a guarantee after the last few years

Danny Ric is easily one of the most liked drivers.

But his driving is super over rated.

Agree. Doesn't take himself seriously and is the class clown.

However, sometimes he takes it too far especially when his driving doesn't back him up as being part of the group.

His driving in 2014-17 is what cemented his reputation. Had a legit car under him at the time that fit his style.

All I see in that video are dollar signs for new tires. Must be nice to not have to worry about a tire budget

Eta: Just watched it on a bigger screen. Forget what I said about the tires. He has a transmission budget.

Didn’t he win titles in F3 and F2 and then has won 8 races in F1 with two teams?

How is he over rated? No one puts him in a league with Lewis or Max.

Seems like he’s properly rated. He’s better than Checo.

Pretty badass to see one of the top drivers in the world rip a car like that around.

Hes overrated because he doesn’t qualify well, doesn’t move up much during a race, and doesn’t have a killer instinct. He will be a great test driver but Perez is better overall. I take it as the rich get richer…as long as he doesn’t take the spot from Perez. A little competition within a team is often good. Horner has to show he controls the team and Perez’s spot is secure.

Seriously, dude was the third highest paid driver on the grid, think he's like fifth now.

Gotta smoked by Max and lost his ride when Max was playing nascar in F1.

Then went to Renault, did last, jumped ship to McLaren, where he gets smoked by lando every damn week.

And he's paid like 2x as much as Sergio perez.

You think he's worth twice as much as checo? We've already done this and he got smoked.
