The story I saw was 'Marko said Perez said...' so it doesn't seem Perez has ever really admitted to it.
Maybe he has, maybe it was Marko's way of driving Max this year.
Whatever version, it seems like RBR has quite the situation on its hands.

‘Max’s INSANE radio response was CRAZY’

Sucks for him but everything at RBR is built around max. He should learn to deal with it.
And Checo endured those team orders at Barcelona this year and then still voluntarily decided to sign his contract extension afterward. He either can enjoy being a clear #2 with a top team or go be a #1 at a midfield or backmarker.

On the plus side, Max gave us a some juicy drama at a point in the season when nothing fricking else was going on.

There comes a time when you have to harpoon the fat chick to repay your wingman for what he's done for you over the years. It's a gesture of thanks that goes against your primal desires, but you gotta man up and do it. No one will think less of you. Quite the opposite.

There is a misconception I see within the formula fandom that thinks the only reason Max is faster than his teammates is because RBR caters the car towards him. The truth is that an “oversteery” car is harder to handle but has higher potential pace than a more balanced car. And it so happens that Max prefers more oversteer and can wrangle the car into producing more pace. So RBR could make the car more balanced and Checo would be closer to Max’s pace but the ultimate potential of the car would not be as high. This is why most of Max’s teammates have struggled. I’m saying this all to say that max is faster because he is more talented. He may be an arse but don’t let his abrasiveness cloud your judgment of his talent/pace.

Max and Checo's radio from Monaco qualifying just after Checo crashed. Max is pissed and exasperated.
What does Max mean when he says "It shouldn't be allowed"?

He thinks if you cause a red flag in qualifying that you should go to the back of the times in the qualifying session. You'll see it sometimes where people on provisional pole crash-out or park it to preserve their spot at the top.
It typically happens right at the chicane at Monaco. Perez took a risk actually crashing. Could have fricked up his gearbox.

RBR found out how hard it is to fill that seat.

I don't get why Checo would crash on purpose just to preserve his P3 spot behind the Ferraris unless he really had that big of a hardon to frick over Max.
And apparently Max's mom liked an Instagram post by a Dutch F1 reporter repeating the crash on purpose rumor so maybe there has been some serious bad blood behind the scenes for awhile..

You can admit that Max is a generational talent
He's not though. Vettel, Hamilton, Schumi all have multiple titles in the past 20 years. I'm a Max fan but lets not pretend he doesn't have the best car. F1 every year is who has the best car. The sport is fairly boring due to this. Max is currently the best driver though.

IMAGINE THE SCENES. George Russell can see his first victory. It’s within reach. Then disaster strikes as he’s forced to peel off to the side of the track and retire the car. It would be like Sakhir 2020 all over again *flashbacks intensify*.
However, that could have been reality after Toto Wolff revealed that George had a problem that could’ve ended his heroic Brazilian Grand Prix drive early.
“It wasn’t clear if we could actually make it to the end,” Toto told media, including The Race.
“We talked about it on the intercom, and we all agreed we’re gonna let him drive to the end even without water and just try to finish the race.”
The water leak occurred on George’s car, and Mercedes became aware of it about halfway through the race. The team then made a decision NOT to tell George about it!
“We were concerned at one point that we would be four or five laps from the finish and not making it,” a Mercedes representative added, “but then it did but by the skin of its teeth.”

I'm just catching up, screw you guys for making one of the longest post-race postings this season.
I tried to catch up while in bed, seriously, I think this is 8 pages after the race.
I haven't caught any post-race interviews or anything, but Max bringing up old shite like a woman is highly suspect. That being scripted drama. One thing I noticed is when the broadcast first started talking driver placement with several laps to go, and then last 1-2 laps... Checo seemed to let off big time. Max never really gained or lost behind Alonso, but Checo trailed off 2+ seconds in the last 5-6 laps. I can just see Horner and Max dreaming up something juicy for the DTS episode for the non-Max content but yet all about Max.
In all this, I want to point out (again) that Interlagos is one of the top 3 races in F1.

Wonder if they have been sitting on this and then decided to give an FU towards RBR after the boycott last week.
Sounds like it.. And Max didn't dismiss it, his non-refute basically confirmed thats what it was about.
Interesting to say the least
