Red Bull and their new side pods topping the charts so far in day 3.
Who's sandbagging? Who's going for glory/ sponsor laps?
Guess we'll find out for sure next week.

*I am not an engineer, I only pretend to be one on the Internet*
Red Bull is running bigger sidepods this morning. I’m starting to wonder if the Mercedes’ no sidepod design isn’t the answer they thought it would be. Perhaps they now have no way of directing the air coming off the front suspension and when it hits the rear aero bits it’s super turbulent and unmanageable. And if that is the case how will the car deal with the turbulence off other cars in racing conditions?

So at the end of testing, Crofty, Ant, and Martin Brundle gave their rankings of what they've seen this weekend
1. RB
2. Ferrari
3. Mercedes
4. McLaren
5. Aston Martin
6. Alpine
7. Alpha Tauri
8. Alfa Romeo
9. Haas
10. Williams
The RB car definitely looked to be stable. Merc seems to have the most issues with the porpoising still.

I am really hoping they have a better year. Would be great to see them battling mid pack.

I think Gasly has become my favorite driver as of now

Ricciardo out for Sunday, Covid 19 Positive…. frick this shite.
He sits in a GD car by himself, let him race.

RIC will be back for the race.

That is the assumption. According to the F1 recap video on YT, the first day he can leave isolation is next Friday.
The big question is whether McLaren tests him again on Friday.
If they do and he tests positive, he can't race.
If they don't, he can race, but there is the potential to make others sick (if he is still positive).

Speaking of Covid, watching DTS Season 4 and Hamilton is such a pussy about Covid.
In season 3 when they returns to silverstone to the first full house Hamilton says “seeing this crowd gives me anxiety… Covid was the most difficult thing Ive dealt with”.
Such a drama queen.
Didn’t realize Lando and Daniel had such a rocky relationship at first. Also, too much. Horner, tired of hearing him speak.

I am rather ambivalent about Hamilton my only bitch is his idol is Senna but he drives nothing like him and complains about drivers that do drive like Senna.
That being said they are all drama queens we just see Hamilton more. As for COVID I don't know his reasoning BUT I could certainly understand COVID causing him massive anxiety even if he couldn't care less about having it. His anxiety is certainly at least in part and I imagine predominately missing a race due to popping POS. Missing a single race could change the outcome of the championships. I will give him the benefit of the doubt here.
Despite it being testing I usually think I can actually glean some useful information by looking at sector time, lap times and when they happen in a stint along with speed trap numbers. I am not sure any of that is useful this year. Either there are some monumental shifts around the top of the grid or few if any of the better teams are showing anything like their real pace. At least we don't have to wait very long to find out the truth.
The only thing I actually feel confident to say (which means it is likely incorrect) is I think Ferrari have their 066/7 engine sorted and back to rough parody with the other engines. It may well be down to the work of Shell which I continue to think are the best bang bang juice producers on the grid.

That gave me an eyeroll for sure, but I do understand his anxiety around getting it again as it would severely hurt his WDC chances.
I'm only a few episodes in of the new season. The Mazepin episode was a good laugh. Steiner trying his best not to say anything that's going to get himself pushed out of a Moscow hotel window. Then you had Nikita "Cloud Reader" Mazepin making the perfectly timed change to inters at Sochi, all so that he could finish ahead of Mick and Goatifi...who DNF'd

It seems Shell worked out the new formula really quick.
There were rumors of Merc running a new coolant that was a game changer, if so I wonder if that is what allows the new lack of cooling.

I've never cared for him and DTS has made me really dislike him. He's a huge entitled vagine and I look forward to his retirement.
Dorothy (Toto) is about as bad. I like Horner as he seems to enjoy needling him.

I could watch an entire season of Toto just ordering breakfast. That was wild on DTS. He is a cartoon character

Speaking of DTS, WTF1 was complaining how bad it was earlier in the week. I’m only 2 episodes in but haven’t found much to complain about. If it turns out to be decent it’ll further confirm what I already know, WTF1 is a bunch of knobs.
