No clue why… Latifi let him pass and then all of a sudden sped up and passed him while stroll was sliding over to get out of the way of faster cars.
Latifi is the Charlie Day of F1 the last 3 races.

Also, Albon was disqualified from qualy because his car didn't have 1.0 litre of fuel for scrutineering. The team actually told him to stop on track at the end of Q1 because they realized he was running low.
Albon qualified P16 and apparently had a three-place grid penalty coming from a collision in Saudi Arabia. He will be allowed to start the race from the back of the grid. His race is ruined!

I know we rag on Stroll, but that incident definitely seemed like Latifi's fault.

Stroll turned into him. What Latifi did was amateurish and stupid, but Stroll turned into him.
In Stroll's post interview he pretty much had no defense. He probably didn't check his mirrors.

Stroll was trying to get out of the Alfa's way and wasn't expecting Latifi to try to pass him after just letting him through.
He seems to put himself in these situations often. Needs to take a defensive driving course.

The MS wreck in SA ruined this weekend in Aus. Haas had to tune down cars to avoid any mishaps as they have no spare car. Add in Mag has had sore neck all season plus he’s been mostly sick this race week.
With all the wrecks and penalties Mag should get a decent start all things considered not ideal though. The main thing is they need to try and get at least 1 car into bottom part of points yet need to leave with both cars intact.

Stroll caused that wreck. Latifi almost had him cleared when Stroll came down on him. He definitely wasn't expecting Latifi to let him pass then Latifi to pass him right back.

I blame both drivers but in the decision document they noted that LAT moved aside for STR because STR was going faster.
Then STR let up right when LAT started to go...and there was really only one place for LAT to go aside from up STR’s arse.
I put 55% of the blame on STR and 45% on LAT.

Apparently, Carlos' car wouldn't fire up after the red flag so he lost the ability for two warm-up laps which contributed to his poor last lap. I just hope he can make it through turn one.
