Sweet just what they needed another guy with an infinite amount of swing and miss.

He’s a great player, but I don’t think it makes the Yankees THAT much better with how they are currently structured

MLB Network Radio on SiriusXM theorized earlier today that the Nationals would ask for Will Smith (not Keibert Ruiz) in a Max Scherzer deal.

How would you feel about that?

Lmao

No I get it helps and lengthens the lineup.

It’s just my personal opinion on Gallo as a player and how he molds into teams. I understand the analytics telling me he’s a really really good player, just personally think he needs to be in a lineup surrounded by more high contact guys so you can hide the swing and miss a little.

He has long at bats and while the Yanks do have a bunch of swing and miss they typically really good at elevating pitch counts and getting to bullpens early. He’s definitely gonna help with that too!

I've been calling Gallo to the Yanks for months. It makes all the sense. I agree with you on that thought though 91... it essentially lengthens the same version of the lineup they have now. Home runs and strikeouts, it doesn't differentiate their lineup a whole lot. Essentially duplicates what they do now.

Get into the playoffs against strikeout pitchers and there's a chance that lineup is exposed by the K.

It’s funny because Paul Walker is dead and I’m a Rangers fan.

I mean Gardner has been worth negative WAR moat of the year and has been atrocious at all aspects. Hell outside of Judge the entire OF has been garbage considering the struggles of Frazier, Andujar, and Hicks injury.

I would have wanted Marte but he is RH and the Yankees apparently were set on the LH

Can't wait to see what 4 players the Yankees gave to make this a bad decision.

it's cute that you think it makes a difference. we have leeches for owners no different than Man U. they're going to suck everything they can out of the club, and the city of Arlington more broadly. and then get out

Agree that the ownership is terrible.

Wish Nolan was the owner

Adler] Sounds like this deal will send Joey Gallo and LHP John King to New York. A big haul of prospects going back to Texas

Dumping Gardner on the Rangers is almost a certainty in exchange for a better prospect deal.

They made Leiter the highest paid pick in the draft. They are investing in the future, and that is clear. I would like to think they approached Gallo about a gentleman’s agreement to sign back after 2022.

He gets to actually compete for 1.5 years and comes back in his prime as our highly rated prospects are hitting the bigs.

you trust them?

they decreased payroll, and straight up lied about the ballpark deal. they're no different than carpetbaggers. Hiring Chris Young was a good move
