Correct and that didn’t coerce the decision. A team not interested in paying to compete doesn’t make that pick. They go under slot and play the numbers game.

you understand in the end every team ends up paying the same right. It’s a money distribution strategy for a set pool Or not the same but you know what I mean. A team not using their full draft pool is unheard of

Yes….and they’ve balanced that out the last three drafts by taking Jung, Leiter and Foscue.
Crouse and Winn, two under slot high schoolers in the first round, taken the years before are in AA and throwing very well. There is a decent group coming up. No reason to spend right now until we know what holes need to be filled.

because they, along with Jeff Williams, deceived the voters of what was actually in the proposal. the main point of contention being the part of the park they we're supposed to "pay" for, isn't exactly a lump sum payment. you have a lot more faith in those baws than I do. it'd be nice to hear or see from them once in a while. or...ever

It's sad but the Rangers had to trade Gallo. His Agent is the baseball anti-Christ Scott Boras. Boras clients always wait for free agency.

With the depth of decent prospects Texas currently has I’m surprised they didn’t go more after top end talent, perhaps the Yankees wouldn’t go for it
