He just signed an extension last year. They need to just call his bluff.

What's the trade that the dolphins and Texans just did? It keeps coming up on the ticker but I never catch it.

I think the pick swaps were late rounders, not first round

Outside of the Watt situation, the Texans have made good roster moves this offseason. But it won’t matter til they get rid of Watson.

So why did they draft AJ Dillon in the 2nd round?

Teams just can’t help themselves with these runningbacks no matter how much evidence there is about how it’s a bad idea

Dillon is a hammer. Plus this is Jamaal Williams' last year on his rookie contract.

ETA: Why wouldn't a team who plays at least 9 games a year up north outdoors want a hammer at running back. Fournette's power running came in handy for the Bucs in December/January.

Dillon is a bigger back and he did look good when he got a lot of carries against the Titans late in the year I think Jones got banged up that game?

I mean you got a point it was a sketchy move I guess but Dillon did average over 5 yards per carry.

Fwiw

46 attempts on the season for Dillon

You can replace Jamaal Williams production for a price tag that is way less than the value of a second round pick

Saints are restructuring QB Taysom Hill’s contract to create cap room. Details are great: it’s a 4-year, $140 million contract extension - but all years are voidable and it’s a mechanism to free up cap space this year, per source. It saves Saints over $7.5M against cap this year.

Taysom Hill’s contract numbers this year include a $9.686 million signing bonus, a $1.439 million guaranteed roster bonus and a $1.034 million guaranteed base salary, plus incentives, per source.

i imagine to literally frick with the NFL and all the people who thought they'd have to blow it up

I think we're a little over $10M away and we've franchised Williams and likely work out extensions with Ram/Latt that get us $10M under

I told Real Carolina we could be players in FA if we wanted to

Losing starters AND still kicking the can lol. Not only that, the only QB currently on the roster is Taysom Tebow. Doing all this so you can go 8-8 AT BEST and still miss the playoffs next season.
