Definite bummer. It was fun watching him, Cousin and Cosnefroy running this morning

Anthony Perez, a KOM Favorite, had a puncture and then collided with a team car and broke his collar bone. He has withdrawn from the Tour :-/
I am behind and just got to this point where they mentioned the crash. I wonder if he is on tubeless tires, I know Cofidis runs Michelins but not whether they are running TL or Tubs.
If Cousin would cut his hair he would have another minute on the field.

Any Black Lives Matter Protests or slogans are this event?

That pass against the barriers around maybe Sagan was incredible.
I am thinking we may see someone in green besides Sagan.
It is interesting to watch the team tactics in the first few stages as some will be racing as if there are only 9 stages, which may be true after the COVID tests on the rest day...
Nice to see Didi the Devil. I met him in Atalanta when he was there for the Olympic road race in 96.

Bad mistake by me considering I am an AS Roma fan.

That dude has to be getting up there in age. Wonder how his hops are at this point

Wiki says he is 68.
The last picture I can find of him hopping and verify the date is this one from 2017 so he would have been 65 then. Pretty good for 65 I would say.

Even in 2020 Big George is still towing Lance...
Lance broke his chain on their mountain biking ride yesterday and George towed him out with the chain.
If anyone isn't aware Lance has an excellent daily podcast on the tour "The Move". I watch it on YT but I assume it is available on the podcast platforms too. Be aware the first 4:30 is "commercials" you can fast-forward if you aren't interested in The Feed or PR cream.

How hard was the rain? I’m not sure what Cofidis has to do to win a stage except spend money.

Perez crash was in the dry the rainstorm was earlier. There was no camera footage of the crash.

Still have half my shite from ‘The Feed’ Box I bought last summer during the tour
Only so much AMP cream I can rub and Stinger gels I can consume in a calendar year haha.
They still manage to email me EVERY SINGLE DAY.
That said will still be listening to the podcast because... simply.. it’s fantastic
One of my nephews was signed with George’s Trek development team about a decade ago before he burned out. George seemed like a sincere guy regardless of all the politics and drama that occurred with him as Lance’s LT.

Which is so odd because most of the riders of interest or in contention for the points, GC, KOM etc are usually flanked and covered. Yet nothing. Puncture, then collision w/ a team car then gone.
So odd. Most of the course has complete coverage ... even riders half an hour or more behind.
Just so odd

Can you tell any difference with the PR cream? Never tried it. My wife and I were going to try beetroot shots this year but with no races or sportives we put it off. It is kinda expensive for a cycle anyway.
Yeah the lack of Perez coverage is bizarre, all I have found is three still probably taken by the same photog right after it happened.
