Did the Peleton catch back up to Bora? When I left it was right before the sprint...So I am assuming that Sagan got the 20 as the lead was almost 1:30 at that time.

What an absolute scorcher of a stage. WOW.
Julian is pissed. Made contact and threw a chain as he was making his move.
But damnnnn we got us a Tour

Tomorrow should be good, only bad thing is the finish is not on a summit

I hate mountain stages that finish after a descent. It so often neutralizes the actual climbs. That added to the overall difficulty of the Tour profile this year cuts out the impetus for attacks in the Alps.

He should be mad at himself.

OP updated with today's results, links to all results and some personal pontification mixed in.
Amazing stage today. Will that front GC group have the legs left for the mountains tomorrow?

Quoting you from before the first stage. I am SUPER impressed with this kid. Been waiting for another American to step up. He's got a ways to go, but damn his future is bright. He stayed with that lead group today like a boss, and pulled up only when he knew his job was done. Stellar

Fun to see Wout Van Aert get to Flex muscles while Mathieu Van der Poel isn't there to be just a bit better all these years.

They just said screw it let’s just let leaders go after it. Peters is flying

There’s the Basque flag. They are still “disbanded”

Yates cracked

So if someone test positive from Covid it automatically ends the race right?
