Yeah but if it is true, why would Chicago want to spend max money on a player that absolutely doesn't want to be there and will end up being a cancer to the locker room?
Again, people say this stuff every year and teams match their RFAs.
shite, Eric Gordon came out and flat out said that his "heart was in Phoenix" and he didn't want the Hornets to resign him, and they did it anyway. You can say what you want about that situation, but teams always do it.

Yep Cousins officially has the keys to the organization.

To hold on to an asset?
He can always be moved later. What's the upside to letting him walk for nothing? I don't know the Bulls cap situation but if they're over the cap either way they gain nothing by letting him sign elsewhere.

For the 100th time, I have the best basketball coaching position in the world. I am not looking for any other coaching position.

Well to be fair, he said he isn't "Looking for them".
He didn't say he wouldn't take it if they came and found him.

Butler has to sign at least a 3 year deal (no options), unless he takes the 1 year QO.
I doubt any team will even offer the 3 year deal, because the Bulls will obviously match it and it will limit the offering team's flexibility for 3 days.

The kings are just the best. shite is a mess and offering front office power to calipari is their solution. Never change Vivek.
