The owner has asked his legal team, if he can fire Karl with cause. Karl is owed more than $10 million and he will need that money to get Cal.

If the Bucks get TC, they are the 2/3 seed out East and probably get to the ECF.
Agreed. If they resign Middleton plus a healthy Jabari they could be scary.

Their D would be incredible, they are super young and super athletic, well coached, Greek freak, have a couple of shooters (Mid and Dud) and they play in the East.

They gave the Bulls everything that they could handle in the playoffs.

But, yeah, they suck.

ETA: Even Bucks fans are excited this year. That's huge.

They are a good defensive team, with or without Chandler. That's not the issue and the idea is to improve, not acquire redundant players.

Jared Dudley... . Like I said, their complete lack of ability from the perimeter is a problem and they actually (thus far) are worse in that regard with Ilyasova trade.

Meh...it was a six game series that featured a 50+ point blowout. That's not "all they can handle" and Chicago isn't some juggernaut to begin with.

Never said they "suck".

Very important to their standing in the East.

Not to mention Jabari and hopefully Vaughn.

The Bulls were up 3-0, and blew an 11 point lead in Game 4 in the 4th Q, otherwise it would've been a sweep.

Exactly. They are a playoff team and I would be willing to agree they could get the 4 seed. The top 3 teams are just better

Such a bush league organization.

You realize Dudley had a better fg percentage than Middleton last year, right?

The Bucks didn't even have a winning season last year. They were 19 games back in the conference. But I guess that is a big improvement over the 41 games back they were the year before.

MCW (ouch)
Mid
Greek Freak
Parker
TC (In theory)

That is a top 3 - 5 Defense.

Kidd is the perfect coach for MCW.

They will also have some talent on the bench.

Chicago has a new rookie coach, a pissed off Butler, and is a year older.

ATL may lose Milsap and/or DC.

2/3 seed is absolutely feasible if healthy. CHI (3 seed) only won 50 games last year. The Bucks/Greek Freak couldn't win another 9 games in the lowly East?

.468 vs .467?

I'll help you out, since there are even better metrics (Dudley has .009 higher TS% and .026 higher EFG). Middleton shot nearly twice as often in mostly a starting role and creates his own offense far more frequently than Dudley so I'll favor Middleton going forward. Isn't even a question.

The real point is...if you have to fluff a 30 year old journeyman, that shows you how dire the situation is.

Yes, 468 is greater than 467, sorry if numbers are hard for you. And nobody is "fluffing" him, he was mentioned parenthetically as one of a couple shooters on the team.

Good point. They were 31-23 before the trade. They were 10-18 after that trade.

.357 winning percentage.

Translates to 29-53 over the course of an 82 game season.

And they traded Ersan Ilyasova for 35 year old Caron Butler.

I don't know... I'm starting to think the Bucks might not be any better next year.

Jabari Parker will be back... so they probably won't win only 29 games. But I'm not sure they'll win more than the 41 they won this year.

Tonight, an hour before midnight, the Spurs will begin calling free agents. Gregg Popovich, however, says he won’t join in. “I’m not calling anyone at midnight,” he said. “I’ll be in bed. And if that’s the difference in someone coming or not coming, then I don’t want them.”

I love Pop.

they got General Greivis now though!

seriously, that Bucks team just seemed to be dying for a stabilizing veteran/ in his prime PG. I was thinking somebody like Jarrett Jack, who wouldn't necessarily have to start. I guess Greivis kinda fits the bill, but it seems they could've done better.
