Great. Point.
As good as Harden is, his drives usually lead to layups for himself, threes for others, or free throws. Lawson loves to find the big fellas.
I'm really excited. Lawson adds a ton of diversity to our offense.

If they can keep his car keys away from him.

Well he's got 2 in six months and isn't a good locker room guy and sucks at defense.
HOU isn't that far off they don't need to bring in a guy like Lawson to get there.
Welp, I guess even BoomStramdamus can change his tune.

@ESPNSteinLine: ESPN sources say that the Lakers were also a determined trade bidder for Ty Lawson, but Denver clearly preferred what the Rockets offered
I get that they were trying to get him for nothing but the Lakers are determined to surround d'angelo Russell with nothing but ball stoppers.

Boston has signed 33rd overall pick Jordan Mickey to a four-year, $5M deal, league sources tell RealGM. Ex-LSU PF gets two guaranteed years.

If any of you rockets fans get insider information on Lawson to Houston, please post. I want to put money down before the odds change.

He's done the right thing by going to rehab hopefully he can get help and come out better. If not NBD HOU gave up next to nothing to get him and is good enough to challenge for a title without his services.

Jonathan Feigen, Chron.com:

The Rockets are “close to an agreement” to bring back forward/center Chuck Hayes, Hayes’ agent Calvin Andrews said.
Hayes met with Rockets coach Kevin McHale and much of the Rockets’ front office during a summer league game last week in Las Vegas when he was in town to coach an AAU team. The Rockets left thinking there could be a place on the roster before training camp, but with the trade of Ty Lawson moving four players, the Rockets and Hayes’ representatives moved close to a deal.
“The trade opens some doors,” Andrews said. “We just have to hammer out some fine details.”
Hayes, 32, had his greatest success with the Rockets as a stellar defensive player in the frontcourt. He averaged 4.4 points and 5.8 rebounds with the Rockets. Hayes had played sporadically for the Kings and Raptors in the seasons since, but the Rockets wanted to add his defense and leadership to their young frontcourt mix.
“They know and appreciate his game more than anyone,” Andrews said. “It’s a great time to come back home if we complete the deal.”
The Rockets also have made an offer to guard Jason Terry, a person with knowledge of the offer said. That individual spoke on the condition of anonymity because negotiations are not complete. With the deal for Lawson and contract agreement with KJ McDaniels, the Rockets will have to sign free agents to minimum contracts before they can use the remainder of their mid-level exception to sign second-round pick Montrezl Harrell.
The Rockets also have an agreement to bring undrafted rookie Christian Wood to training camp, a person with knowledge of that deal said. That individual spoke on the condition of anonymity because the deal had not been announced.

quote:Dwight Howard is the single worst player of all time to be labeled dominant. He's a complete joke. He's averaged 18 point per game for his career. Let his scoring go up. He's still nothing but a lazy, horrible decision making shot blocker.
