So what exactly is preventing a player/team from doing all this shite intentionally?
I mean LAC practically gutted a conference rival tonight. Let's assume for argument's sake that Dallas would have been a contender next season - now they're more than likely left to blow it up, and it's all because the Clippers resigned one of their own players who held the Mavs hostage for almost a week.

No player or team would voluntarily take that hit to their reputation. Just watch how much DeAndre and the Clippers are hated. This year was nothing compared to what's coming.

Of all the teams in the NBA who relish in being hated, I feel like the clippers are way, way up there.
This isn't "first-year in Miami" LeBron - these guys are very accustomed to being despised.
And I'm not suggesting they actually did this intentionally, but the fact that the rules ALLOW for it to be done intentionally is pretty interesting. This is a league where teams foul shitty free throw shooters intentionally to gain an edge and write poison pills into contracts regularly - Ive gotta believe that someone out there is not above attempting something like this on purpose..

As a Spurs fan, all I can do is LOL at Cuban.
But I do feel bad for the Mavs fans. Will be fun listening to sports talk radio tomorrow here in Dallas.

I bet Stern is loving this. The best thing for the league in recent times was LeBron taking on the villain role with The Big 3. The league needed a new villain and Flop City has obliged. I both enjoy and hate the Vince McMahonization of the NBA.

I'm looking forward to DeAndre being surprised that he's hated once he gets outside of the little bubble he's been in the last 36 hours.
