K is already retiring. I bet he says “frick it” and doesn’t punish the star player at all.

I’m very curious how Paolo would also get charged in this. I’ve never heard of aiding a DUI.

It's DUI by consent. Meaning if you knowingly/willingly allow someone to drive your car and they're impaired you are responsible as well

LSU will get 2 years probation because of this. Will Wade will be banned from coaching for 5 years.

4 beers over 2 hours would not register an illegal BAC for many people.

4 beers for a normal sized, healthy person over a couple hours probably isn’t reaching .08. It takes a real mouth breather to get angry at someone for distinguishing between 4 beers and what Ruggs did.

I believe this guy blew a .08, fwiw. Not smart to drive but he isn’t the world’s biggest pos.

BAC level is there to provide some standardization, but at an individual and marginal level it’s not all that useful for comparison purpose.

It’s not like .07 is good but .08 makes you a complete POS. Everyone is impacted differently, obviously.

Water and fat content in the body is big. Size, age, all kinds of things.

A college athlete in great shape(Savarino) is probably looking at closer to 5-6 beers over an hour and a half to reach 0.8, which can change from day to day even for the same person.

I wouldn’t mind seeing stiffer penalties for egregious BACs and more emphasis on how people are actually driving at lower BAC’s or even sober.

Driving dangerously is driving dangerously, even sober.

K's last season about to end early. How will ESPN survive?

Why would it end early? Gonzaga suspended their head coach who had a 0.12 BAC for one regular season game and there was zero National outcry over that being a lenient punishment.

You think Duke is going to kick off a player for being in the backseat of a car when the driver is pulled over for a .08?

Eta: I am surprised Banchero started today though.

Most of the basketball media will be avoid criticizing K in his last year so he might as well go for it.

He blew a .08

Yeah, that's the legal limit but come on.. not like he was drunk drunk. Wonder how or why the cops pulled him. A checkpoint or was he swerving on the road sort of thing. Poor judgement on his part? Definitely.

I like that Banchero kid. Seems like a blue collar type player and is damn good at everything. And he doesn't showboat.

A 1 game suspension probably wouldn't satisfy the mob.

My son is actually at that game tonight. I've never gotten to go to a game at Cameron.

I have to say, I'm okay with that law.

Is NC the only state with aiding a DUI?

This?

Just depends on the their actions.

Anyone driving 156 in a 45 should rot in jail.

It’s not a big deal at all for someone to have 4 beers and drive home.
