i put emphasis on winning the series so in that sense you are right. but app st looks to be the superior team so far. so that makes it close.

However, its certainly more impressive than a sweep of Dartmouth or a 1 out of 3 against Appy St.

How do you even come to this conclusion in early March other than the fact that Alabama plays in a superior conference? College baseball rankings in early March are just as useless as "bracketology" in November/December.

I would take Appy St in a 3 game series vs Bama right now home or away.

Not really. 1 out of 3 against app St and 2 of 3 against bama are about equal.

I really hope this was supposed to be sarcasm, if not you really don't know baseball.

BTW, the Bama closer who was drafted last year but stayed in school was hitting 97-98 consistently yesterday....only he didn't throw strikes and the ones he did throw went for a double and a grand slam.

a series win over a series loss all day. but considering the competition level its not a huge difference. tulane shouldve swept this weekend honestly.

I agree, terrible first inning Saturday was the difference from the sweep and a series win. Giving up 5 runs with 2 outs in the first killed us, but Bama did nothing after that. We could only get 2 runs out of 10 hits and lost.

You've got Southern on there twice with no Northwestern St.

I'd probably go ahead and flip #1 and #2 after LSU dominated Tulane in their own house. Also, ULL picked up a nice win against Houston tonight.

Nola pitched well. LSU hit one hard ball all night and that was in the 9th. Not very impressed with LSU this year ..
