If all the favorites win then you’d only have Georgia, Michigan, and FSU undefeated. Oregon is 9.5 point favorites over Washington. A one loss Oregon is definitely getting in over an undefeated FSU, and I think a one loss Texas would too.

I think the following teams are better than FSU:
Ohio St
Michigan
Georgia
Oregon
Bama
Washington
Texas

I don't think FSU beats any of them. If they remain undefeated they'll probably get in, but I expect them to get smoked.

don’t FSU should be left out in this case, but I have little faith in the committee doing the right thing.

If the committee screws an undefeated power conference champ, it should be abolished and its members investigated for gambling.

Multiple top teams yesterday struggled and almost lost against their sub .500 rivals WITH their starting QBs but for some reason FSUs performance is the only one getting criticized.

I’d be fine with 13-0 ACC champ getting in, but giving them a pass on the championship game because their QB is hurt seems a little iffy

Why is Washington a lock but FSU isn’t?

FSU almost lost to a very bad Florida team tonight

Alabama should have lost to a very bad Auburn team, and Bama has their starting QB.
And don’t forget they struggled to beat South Florida and shitty Ar-Kansas.

But who cares, they won those games.

Washington sucks, but if they beat Oregon they are in. I’d bet Washington wouldn’t be favored to beat 5 or 6 SEC teams, but who cares, they won their games and deserve to make the playoffs where they will get their asses handed to them. Bama would be favored by 2+ tds against Washington

An undefeated FSU, regardless who their QB is, deserves a shot in the playoff. Anyone who believes otherwise is garbage.

Travis being out is a huge deal…. I agree that FSU is not the same team without him. But how much would everything change if he wasn’t hurt. TV ratings are also a factor.

If FSU wins their conference championship game they are in. Theres no way a 1 loss champion of any conference is jumping an undefeated conference champion.

Just my opinion of what the committee’s logic will be - but I think they view Washington as a lock and not FSU in that situation because of the Travis situation.

Had Travis have not gotten hurt, I’d think that FSU would have been a lock.

We went through this when they had Jameis Winston… they won boocoo close games that year and then they were talking about suspending him

I think Baylor and TCU both had one loss that year… if it had been one bigger name team that was clear cut #5, FSU would’ve been booted if Jameis wouldn’t have been available

You were correct to point out that Oregon wound up being favored, though the context was clear I was talking about Washington.

So, to restate my original post, I think if the four undefeated P5 teams win their conference championship games along with Texas, the four undefeated teams should all get in. However, I think the committee will consider the 4th spot a toss up between Texas and FSU.

Washington played at home against 5-6 Washington State with their all world Heisman Trophy finalist QB and won by a field goal. UGA and their busload of 5 stars and starting QB who has started receiving a little Heisman chatter himself, went to 6-5 ACC Georgia Tech and their 50,000 seat stadium with probably 25,000 UGA fans, and won by a touchdown. FSU goes to a packed Swamp at night with their 2nd string QB, even 3rd string true freshman a few snaps, and won by more points than UGA and Washington. Somehow it's FSU that has their win torn apart and should drop out of the top 4. Gotta love CFB

Why do all the computers disagree? OSU should it have been in last year and got beat by 30 points. The Big Ten wins once in a blue moon. But their Northern Voters and pollsters also overrate them. Same was FSU this year. Not even top 10, neither is Oregon or Wash. You know the whole shebang gas gone to hell when they put those soft teams up higher than teams who have played tougher schedules. Its become a joke.

They need to or else the rest of the country starts losing interest in CFB…
