Why should they be "punished" for it?
If there are more worthy candidates at the end of the year that will come into consideration. But they clean the table they will be in and there's really NO ONE that could make a valid argument of leaving them out.

No team is getting the bump ahead of ohio state no matter how deserving. They are too big of a program.
