Thanks.
ETA: The Masters still uses the 10 shot rule, don't they?

I think this is the first year for the change.
I think it was last year at The Olympic Club. I seem to remember a lot of bitching that the USGA didn't communicate the change too well to the players.

-3 first round leader is not too high for a short, receptive course.
If it ever stops raining, that will probably be the higher end of the rounds shot this weekend.
John Peterson +3.. Only 6 shots back!

Atchafalaya has one that can play like 255 from the back, 245-250 normally. And it is #2
Yeah. I played that fricker from the 2nd tees from the back at 228.
Lay-up, anyone?

You must not follow the weekly golf thread. I play at La Tour breh, a 20 mph wind is but a gentle breeze to me now
I think Atchafalaya is 7600 from the tips, windy, and is flat and at sea level. I bet that one and the Schoolmaster would end up playing similarly distance wise.

As did I, think it might have marked 230 that day. I 5 wooded it onto the green but had a putt a mile long. That was when they still had the back of that green. Apparently they are letting it go.

I never saw an answer to this question,
"How do they mow the greens in the morning with ball markers on the greens?"

Small paint dot where the players marker is. Replace marker after cut.

GPS Laser acurate to within .0000001 of an inch. SO technically you might have some guys who need to take a 2 stroke penalty for playing from the wrong spot
King Ranch's explanation makes more sense and seems like it would be the easiest to accomplish.
ETA: I saw most of them mark with tees also, to make sure nobody/thing moves them

I just checking the leaderboard, so it may be well behind what is going on on the course, but it looks like Goggins might be cutting it a little close between finishing his first round and starting his second. 4 holes left, 1:13 until 2nd round tee time.

That's definitely how they do it. I wasn't joking.

Is there any way to listen to coverage on a phone? Android phone.
I figured the pga app but that was no good. Espn can't stream it on their app.
