That’s how I feel. There will be a few winners and a LOT of losers.

Let me ask a question based on what Toyota discovered years ago. How many suppliers does RIVN, Ford, GM, or Hyundai rely on to make their cars because I have yet to see any of these automanufacturers ever do a study on their third party sourcing of materials which is why all of them aren't producing cars right now. I can buy a Toyota today with a functioning radio but I can't buy one from any of the other four right now because they are relying on the Ukraine and Russia for their materials.

In other words I would short the shite out of RIVN because they won't produce 400k cars over the next ten years, if ever.

Buying RIVN is the definition of speculation. I think Tesla’s valuation is insane but at least they actually make and sell a lot of cars.

I believe that Jeff Bezos' rivalry with Elon Musk will do good to all RIVN holders. As far as I know Amazon invested tons of money into Rivian. I believe it could be a huge global battle between Tesla and Rivian in several years. I put my money on Tesla :) actually not mine but of https://carplus.co.uk/bad-credit-car-finance/

I said I was going to consider buying if it went under $80, but the more I read, the more I am thinking about dropping that limit to $40 to $45.

So have you bought yet?

Yes, but they have also begun to hedge their bets and use other EV manufacturers.

Stellantis

Amazon (AMZN) - Get Amazon.com, Inc. Report is planning to buy more electric vehicles for its last mile delivery service but not from its original EV purchase partner Rivian (RIVN) - Get Rivian Automotive, Inc. Class A Report.

The Seattle-based tech giant on Wednesday said that it had reached an agreement with global automobile manufacturer Stellantis.

$33.61 today.

I am being serious. I missed out on the IPO. Is this a dead stock or is almost at the bottom?

Investment. Hoping to find the next Tesla.

Tesla can’t make every electric car. I don’t trust any of the major automakers to completely transform their platforms although VW is the best positioned.

This is a long term plan.

Watching the momentum now, I am. But I am really more curious about the company fundamentals and if this is just slow getting off the ground and over promising. If so, a buying opportunity will present itself. I just have no idea when and where.

Seems like others are in the same position as me.

its only 33 @ share guy. Why not buy 10 shares for an initial investment and see where it goes? or continue to watch. No one knows what the future holds for this company but i'm guessing with the backing of Amazon they will be ok for now.

and therein lies the problem. You are thinking of tesla as an EV company. They are not.

Tesla is a hype train, that's why they have a 1t valuation. What they do or make is irrelevant.
