The corona panic is a real thing and it is roiling and tanking markets...not sure the underlying cause is real, but we shall see. Energy cos were already in trouble with capital markets slamming shut because of the terrible state of the industry, then oversupply, then came ESG investing, then corona and now the OPEC FU...and a massive debt maturity wall is coming and redeterminations are going on right now...Perfect shite storm.

Media is begging for this market to get below 20k on the djia before the election. They’d love to see a reset of all the trump gains. And they are pushing it hard.

They're all secretly pulling for Corona too...

This does make me nervous for sure. Not sure what to do. Lost about half my 2019 gains so far, can't decide if I need to move to more stable and ride it out or if there even is more stable at this point.

If you don't need it anytime soon, average down and enjoy the future rebound.

Means don’t worry about timing the market hoping to get in at the bottom and don’t put all your money in at once.

Oil getting pummeled is as much of a buying opportunity as anything out there. The world needs oil...so it’s a no brainer.

It’s just a matter of when do you grab the falling knife.

Cash, gold, bonds....I’d be scared of most other things at this point.

I bought OXY Friday. Gonna be ugly.

Anyone think RIG will survive this?

It looks like NE will be bankrupt soon.

Exxon and shell are yielding 10%. Any way in hell those dividends are safe?

ETA- BP also, and I’m sure many others.

Exxon first paid a dividend in 1882 and has raised the dividend for 37 years in a row. No guarantee going forward, but maintaining the dividend is important to companies like Exxon
