What are the major differences in Coinbase vs Coinbase Pro?

Is it just fee structure? Is one better for low volume traders vs high volume traders?

Fees are lower on Pro and you can set limit buys and sells on Pro.

Dumb question of the day:
Is BRD the same as Coinbase you all keep referring to? My app is named BRD.
Then I’ll shut up and let the adults talk.

Never could get the Pro app to work. Have converted my account but can only use it through a browser

I’m genuinely unsure of any good reason to use Coinbase over Coinbase Pro
The fees are night and day

Other than discovery never use coinbase they place a spread on trading price. Use limit orders on pro or another site

Pretty much just the fee structure. You can transfer your coins back and forth with no fees instantly. ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS use Pro when buying coins off Coinbase

So, is it fair to say that Coinbase is good for holding because the website and app are so easy to use, but that Coinbase Pro should be used for transactions?
I'm not seeing a downside if there's no fees to transfer between Coinbase and Coinbase Pro.

Yea that’s safe to say. You can hold on CB Pro if you wanted but regular Coinbase has a better interface if you are checking on your account.

Well I had no idea on the fee differences. I have logged into coinbase pro and it shows my account at zero while regular coinbase has my correct portfolio. What am I doing wrong?

Nothing wrong. The portfolio will be different for each. It doesn’t aggregate the two. Try buying $5 of bitcoin in pro or transferring from coinbase and then look at your portfolio.

You still have to transfer coins from Coinbase to CB pro

I have my paltry stash migrated to pro already

BRD is Bread, that is a completely different app

When is Coinbase going to accept my drivers license? That’s the real question.

At some point there will be a membership fee to use CB Pro. For now, since it's free there is no downside.
