Yeah, I had to jump on RIG today. Having 2 decades of following oil sector I know it may take a while, but it will go back up. 2 reasons, none of us are going to stop driving and the rag heads aren't going to stop fighting.

Really wanted to buy some XOM in my IRA today. Wimped out and decided to put my IRA contribution into an S&P 500 index fund.

Interesting Article on XOM vs CVX

I like XOM, but mostly because my grandfather worked at the plant for 40 years and my mother inherited 1600 shares from him, so it's more on a personal level, but I wouldn't mind owning CVX. Maybe it's time to put some money there instead of XOM.

I have some of both but heavier in XOM due to family. You can't go wrong with either right now.

I wouldn't let sentiment or emotions affect a stock purchase or sale.

I bought CVX today. I didn't time it very well. I also took a long look at BP.

Long term buy and hold , reinvest dividends.

Same methodology i incorporate with MOST my real estate holdings. Buy and hold.

I am going to add RDSB and do a three way split. Thought about chevron as well but will hold off for now.

My bid on XOM hit a week ago at $72.00.

Hard to pass up the CVX yield right now.

Kind of related to oil, I own Caterpillar (CAT), they sure took a hit today! Can't decide whether to take my losses or hold out.

BP is who I'm watching. They have some really great assets. Someone is going to buy them if prices stay this low.
