Growth stock whose primary business the growth evaporated. Sales are down big in the short term, and competition is catching up. China was the their hottest market for a while and competition there has crushed every ev maker.

Tesla has one of the lowest profit margins on vehicles in the industry and majority comes from environmental credits in Europe where sales are falling quickly.

Not even counting Elon's current politics which alienates at least part of their customer base, if anything you could say the majority of their customer base.

This one seems pretty obvious

I can't wait to make a post about this in 2 years

What is optimus going to do/show by 2027?

I remember when full self driving (like actual level 4+ autonomy) was supposed to be a year away 7 years ago.

It's cute that you think Tesla is a car company.

Teslas valuation has always been inflated because it’s a money printer for options dealers

Looks like it's going more or less straight to 280.

Good. Hoping for $250 or less. Not sure when I'll start buying back in.

Their PE is 76. Usually means inflated stock price.

Revenues were up last year, profits down.

I don't know much at all about Tesla. But I wouldn't say the truck is a bust. Its the most recognized car arguably on the planet right now. My daughters point it out everytime they drive by, especially when they are a new color.

They have never pointed out a F150 lightning, Rivian, etc.

It also has very good performance is that correct?

Elon and Tesla have money to burn right now. They've done some amazing things. The stock was over inflated which Elon admitted due to long term future, not short term metrics. I'm not sure why there's any reason to doubt the long term play here.

In the past I've been informed to not look at Tesla as a car company. Look at them as a patent, technology, and data collection company.

Is Optimus the robot that was being controlled by some dudes in a room onsite at the “We, Robot” event? Yeah, I’m sure that’s two years out from production. You still waiting on a Roadster too?

It’s been mentioned but Tesla is tanking because Elon has alienated his customer base and refuses to just give people what they want - an affordable EV. He focuses on pet projects that aren’t fully hashed out. It’s also just a volatile stock in general, mostly hype.

I cashed in on my TSLA, too much baggage for me.

Can you give me a 3 or 4 sentence synopsis instead of a 2+ hour podcast?
