The only issue I have with Roku is the durability of their remotes
oh my god, yes. I thought it was just me. so annoying. It's not because they are old either. I have a new one that does the same thing as the older ones.

The ad potential is huge.
This is the point that some are missing. Not only does ROKU have a rather dominant position with respect to hardware adoption and partnerships with OEM TV manufacturers (where Apple badly lags), it’s the ad revenue that will continue to put money in their pocket.

And their buyout prospects are also insane,if they chose that route.
they will get bought out or merge with one of the mega techs at some point...it just makes too much sense. ROKU is a platform now and there’s no going back

I’m just not understanding the appeal to roku. When these smart TVs are in the majority of homes why do I need a roku stick anymore? I used to have one but with my smart tv I don’t need it anymore.
Lots of cheaper smart TVs are builtin with Roku. My kids both have 1, they cost like 70 bucks on sale.

fantastic insight from Ophir here on GOGO
LINK
TLDR: the convertible notes igoringa describes above at $6 act as a deep in the money call option which cancels out a large portion of the short float. And the higher the price goes, the less likely GOGO will be able to buyback those notes, thus at exercise they will have to issue stock to cover that call, creating dilution for current shareholders
so here is the risk...if GOGO gets memed up based on the published short interest, long holders will get screwed. Any unnatural run up will not last very long so if you are in it for the squeeze be very careful

Friend,
Can you please alert us if and when there is an unnatural price rise of GOGO?
So it seems it is best for long investors to hope this stock piddles for a few years until time for that loan repayment, and then explodes when that bad debt is repaid?
Yours,
TulaneLSU

I was thinking about closing my AMAT position this week but now I just might hang on.

Did Ophir say behind a pay wall which of his top picks turned down an interview?

Hey Cgrand I’ve followed a lot of your posts and appreciate the last picks. What do you think GOGO is capable of?

Pushing 120 PM. Definitely worth holding all or some through earnings imo. I don't see how they don't have a good report with great guidance.

I want to be in GOGO for the long term and have a good position built now below 12. I would not be surprised if it runs up and then right back down in the short term
