It's at $87 and change now. Might be a buy in the am. So glad I didn't get greedy with this one and bailed last week.

stop losses usually do not execute in AH, at least not in TDA. only during normal trading hours. (i am no expert but have experienced this so sharing)

I had a stop loss and when the stock dropped way below my stop AH I went in and cancelled the trade. I am still holding that stock hoping it rebounds. Should be able to cancel the trade.

I sold all at $99 on the way up. Missed out on the big run, but glad I had the patience not to get sucked back in.

this is from 1:30PM today
quote:

On CNBC's "Fast Money Halftime Report," Jon Najarian said he bought American Airlines (NASDAQ: AAL) calls today at the $13 strike with an expiration date of Oct. 23.

Najarian says that TSA data showing 900,000 passengers per day is not great, but is a big move up from the beginning of the pandemic. He’s crossing his fingers this TSA data is a good sign people are getting back on planes.

Najarian said he also bought Fastly (NYSE: FSLY) calls with a strike price of $135 that expire in December. He noted since the calls expire in December, he will probably be in them for about two months.

could be worse i guess...

What is it about this company that makes its stock so volatile? Every time I'm counting my chickens its a bloodbath.

The stock is back where it was 3 weeks ago. After an insane run up, bad news was inevitably going to beat the hell out of it.

That’s kind of the price paid for these high growth companies that have insane valuations based around future growth prospects. Bad news, even if small, can cause a tumble.

But it’s temporary. If you loved FSLY as a company yesterday, you should love it even more at $90 tomorrow. Nothing material has changed about the company long term and this is just a blip.

Execute at what price? The price of the stop?

No at market - assuming it’s a regular stop order. If you set a stop for $105, you can unfortunately kiss that goodbye. It will execute during normal trading hours at market once the stock is below $105 (which it will be at open tomorrow)

Unless you did a stop limit order in which you set the stop to execute at $105 but also set a limit not to sell below $105. In that case the stop order has been hit but it will not sell until the stock reaches $105

In it for the long haul so this is a blessing if you're not just a trader IMO. Scrounging up some more cash and increasing my position

I still can not comprehend how fundamentals support this price for the long haul. Short term momentum plays I get - but long haul requires a return on equity. These momentum plays are so overvalued based off fundamentals or expected return. Hence a blip drop in expected revenue erases billions in market cap.

Sorry it happened - wish you guys all the best and I will watch in envy

Jim Kramer just had a segment on about Fastly. Essentially said he thinks it’s a great buy at $90. But wouldn’t surprised if it went down some more tomorrow, a stock like this usually takes a couple days to bounce back. Some could a quarter. He doesn’t think that with this. “A lot of ignorant money is fleeing right now.”

I can't believe we are going to get the chance to buy below 90 again

This stock is absolutely nuts. This is why you take profits after crazy runs. Or just stay super long and stop watching it day to day
