NYCB.
Consistent dividend stock that got beaten down below $6 this morning. Unbelievable move for a stable stock.

I’ve seem someone suggest JPM will be the white knight for First Republic and of course it’s down 65% currently. Presented as the perfect marriage between a bank with massive deposits needing investments (JPM) and a bank with massive loans issued and needing deposits (FRC).

Just sharing what I saw. Makes sense in principle, haven’t had the time to actually dig for my own DD.

I don’t think we’re at peak panic yet.

massive shareholder dilution incoming. Question is which ones. Some of them will avoid it, but only Nancy and Paul know for sure

Schwab has 80% of their banking deposits insured, unlike the banks in trouble that had between 10-20% insured.

They also have an extra $80B of available funds to borrow without liquidation.

Schwab is a massive buy right now

Picked up CUBI this morning. I’m already up 48%. Just took my profits and will ride it out.

I’ve been in banking 25+ years and today is the biggest knee jerk reaction fueled by social media and the media I’ve ever seen.

Yep. The dominoes will accelerate in April.

The Summer of our Discontent is almost here. Hold on to your hats. Rough ride in store for the banking system.

This is worth a few minutes to think about what could be coming and are you ready to weather the storm?

Listen at 1.25x-1.5x to blow through it. Makes you think.

Just bought some on my lunch hour. Saw what happened with CUBI and wanted to beat the rush.

Plus with the dividend it isn't a bad one to get stuck with in the short term.

Yea I have been busy with work and missed most of the easy money this morning it appears. Will pick up some small positions Schwab and NYCB I guess.

Did anyone buy NYCB recently? I bought a couple different times over the past 3 days and have an average cost at $6.71/share.

Interested to see others thoughts on this stock. It wasn't even on my radar until I read this thread on Monday.

I'm overly risk tolerant here. Looking for a beaten down bank that could reasonably double in the next 12-24 months.

PACW - I picked up some Monday in the $8 range, it more than doubled yesterday. Dropped back down to the $10s today. It was $25 last Thursday.

I bought it and SCHW, and just picked up PACW. Not big positions but something to gamble on a bit.
