Good on Powell, honestly.

Answer this honestly. Why did Powell lower 50 basis points a few weeks before the Election and signal more cuts were to come, but is now just standing pat? A normal cut is 25 not 50 unless you are trying to jump start a series of cuts or, wait for it, are politically motivated at the time.

The Fed lowered rates twice more in 2024 after the election.

As Powell explained after their last meeting, the uncertainty of tariffs’ effect on inflation has the FMOC rate decisions on hold for now.

He takes the position that benefits Trump. Doesn’t matter if he’s dishonest about the actual numbers facts or statistics he will dig in even when presented with evidence and just say you are wrong then runs away never to return other than to act like a pimply faced 13 year old girl. His whole existence on here bizarrely revolves around Trump

It’s almost if Trump would stop flip flopping on Tariffs things would be more stable. Trump appointed Powell. Powell isn’t the bad guy here. He’s been dealing with a shite sandwich for years now.

Inflation was coming down so they lowered by 50 bps two months before the election instead of 25 in Sept and 25 in October, which would have been one or two weeks before the election.

Then, after Trump was elected, there were two more rate cuts!!!

Stop being a victim.

Powell has shown that he is driven by politics. He cut 50bps when inflation was higher than it is now and unemployment was lower to help get Kamala elected. He has lost virtually all credibility.

Again the fed dropped after he was elected. Not once…but twice. Also, see the comment below that people have repeatedly posted to answer your question.

This is not true. You realize your lies can be easily fact-checked, right?

2025
Jan - 3.0
Feb - 2.8
Mar - 2.4

2024
Jan - 3.1
Feb - 3.2
Mar - 3.5
Apr - 3.4
May - 3.3
Jun - 3.0
Jul - 2.9
Aug - 2.5
Sep - 2.4 (Rate cut -.50%)
Oct - 2.6
Nov - 2.7
Dec - 2.9

Monthly inflation % - Scroll down

and unemployment was lower
Right, because unemployment has SOARED to 4.2% last month from 4.1% last September.

Monthly Civilian Unemployment - LINK

I have to admit, your ability to tell lies is impressive.

Nobody cares what you called.

He’s not playing politics. His history is proof of that. That’s the point you refuse to acknowledge. Everything is unstable so they have to be more conservative in their approach. That’s the point…it’s not political! You just refuse to acknowledge that everything isn’t political.

You need to get off the Internet and go get a life, fricking loser. I'm sure your other accounts are just as ridiculous as this one.

Imagine being so fricking stupid, you think everything in this world is rigged against Trump. Go take a breath of fresh air, take a shower and get off Twitter and go live in the real world for a while. Stupid frick.

Once again you are embarrassing yourself in this thread. Did you learn to constantly lie in Moscow? You are a Pathological Liar Comrade

The Federal Reserve, under Chair Jerome Powell, cut interest rates by 50 basis points on September 18, 2024. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) data for that period and the most recent available data are as follows:

September 2024 (when Powell cut rates by 50 bps):
Annual CPI inflation was 2.5% in August 2024, the closest available data point before the rate cut.

Core CPI (excluding food and energy) was approximately 3.2%.

Now (March 2025, latest available data):
Annual CPI inflation was 2.4%, as reported for March 2025.

Core CPI was 2.8% over the last 12 months (not seasonally adjusted).

Comparison:
The headline CPI inflation rate decreased slightly from 2.5% in August 2024 to 2.4% in March 2025.

Core CPI, which the Fed often monitors for underlying trends, dropped from ~3.2% to 2.8%, indicating a cooling in inflationary pressures.

Wow, this dude really just went through my post history to try and get some perceived win.

Not only are you a loser, you're a retarded psycho too.

Since you're so interested, some dude in the game thread said he was in his car farting with the windows rolled up. We scored a few runs after that. That's where it came from.

Glad you took the time to look through my post history. I'd be embarrassed if I was a grown arse man and spent all day posting stupid shite, looking through people's post history and complaining that the whole world is against Trump like you do. To each his own, I guess.
