Need help on an index fund decision for custodial Roth IRA

I’m funding my children’s Roth IRA‘s and can’t decide on an index fund. I can mindlessly dump into once a year. Currently have them set up in VUG, but would VOO be a better option? Completely open to any other suggestions as well.

both are great. i have VOO and VIGAX the MF version of VUG.
there is no wrong answer.
I'd drop some money in QQQ also. my auto dumps go into VOO and QQQ.
see some returns below and comparisons.

QQQM for the long term. They are young, so be aggressive.

Spread it out some.
VOO - 60%
VUG - 30%
VGT - 10% (i don't see tech slowing down for the foreseeable future)
Indexes that follow the S&P in the long run don't have much difference in their performance, so I wouldn't analysis paralysis yourself in that category.

Vanguard Total Stock Market.

VTI may be reasonable.
It’s great your kids are earning income.
My son opened his own Roth IRA after making money when he was 17.
VTI was his first purchase.

Have my 8 year old mostly in QQQM. It's done well. Probably can't go wrong with the vanguard funds either

Just one man’s opinion, but I believe VT is superior to VOO.

I’ll bet whatever you choose turns out okay

I did 80% VOO and 20% nvda for my grandkids 4 or 5 years ago.

It’s a Roth…he can’t touch it for what 60 years? It’s parental malpractice not to go 100% VGT.
