I am young buck still working in my first million. I am not too far off but wondering when others eclipsed this milestone.

If I would have listened to my parents and not blown so much money I would have been there a few years ago.

What is the actual purpose of this thread? MT is typically better than the OT for this type of thing, but none of the answers will mean anything or be trustworthy. It’s just gonna turn into a weird dick measuring contest where only the biggest and smallest actually post replies. And chances are neither will be reflective of your situation.

If you’re simply seeking validation of your current status, post it and ask the question you actually want to answer.

You recently did this same thread but claimed to have already made your first million. So I am confused.

ETA you said you were halfway there in your first thread, I stand corrected.

Why would you believe it to be impossible for someone to have a net worth of $1mln by say 34 years old?

And by the way I made it by 33!

Exactly. My wife's cousin had well more than that by age 34 because he got on with a great tech company and the stock options he got sky rocket. It doesn't hurt that he and his wife both make over $200K a year.

Now he's 40 and the stock is still going strong. He just bought a $2 million hours and a $300K boat.

I’m actually on the opposite end of the spectrum from where you perceived. I’m in agreement that young people can accumulate wealth rapidly given the right circumstances, albeit the board generally jumps on those instances as being lies and/or far out exceptions

ETA: Agree with the poster questioning the purpose of this thread.

There is so much to becoming a millionaire at a young age including who you married and how many kids you have.
