re: Brave - Android Browser - Twitter Video Lag - readysetgeaux
Since brave is based on chromium I assumed it was an issue with a recent update which would affect Chrome as well. Since Peter2 said he wasn't having the issue, I switched back to Brave and it appears to be working fine for now. Not sure what is going on...

re: Entergy is the worst - readysetgeaux
I am on a shitty circuit in Oak Hills. Very common for our power to drop out for no reason and neighbors across the street, on a different circuit, keep power. Their damn porch lights taunt me. Last night we had several voltage dips likely caused by them closing in on a fault in your area but...

re: Changing Employers - Options for Old 401k with new Simple IRA - readysetgeaux
IRS says you must consider value of all IRAs when converting to a Roth so the simple IRA would cause a portion of the post-tax tIRA contributions to be taxed when converting to a Roth [link=(https://rodgers-associates.com/newsletters/pro-rata-rule/)]Pro-Rata Rule[/link]...

re: Changing Employers - Options for Old 401k with new Simple IRA - readysetgeaux
Sorry for the miscommunication/lack of information. I was on my way to maxing out my 401k for 2019, but changed jobs in September. I considered maxing out my Simple and rolling over to a i401k after the 2 year period while also contributing to a tIRA during that time frame and converting to a ...

re: Changing Employers - Options for Old 401k with new Simple IRA - readysetgeaux
I am confused here. You are saying complete my conversion from post-tax traditional IRA to Roth IRA this year, but then I would have to pay taxes as I have begun contributing to a Simple IRA. Paying additional taxes is not high on my list. Is there something I am missing? On the note of contin...

re: Changing Employers - Options for Old 401k with new Simple IRA - readysetgeaux
Yes I do have the option to leave it which I may end up doing. Seems like my only issue now is using side income to start a business and open up a solo 401k to roll my simple IRA into. Anyone have recommendations on solo 401k's?...

re: Changing Employers - Options for Old 401k with new Simple IRA - readysetgeaux
Great advice. I just came across something similar on white coat investor that talks about setting up a solo-k for side income and after two years you can roll the simple account into the solo-k. I think the company is intending to move to a 401k eventually so I will have to find out if they h...

Changing Employers - Options for Old 401k with new Simple IRA - readysetgeaux
In September I started with a new employer who has a simple IRA retirement plan. My retirement plan with my previous employer was a 401k with Fidelity that includes a roll-over 401k portion, normal 401k, and a Roth 401k portion. To date I have been contributing post-tax dollars monthly to a trad...

Changing Jobs - 401k to Simple IRA - readysetgeaux
I'm in the process of changing jobs and will be coming from a 401k to a Simple IRA. First, I currently max my 401k throughout the year. Being that a Simple IRA is a different retirement vehicle, am I able to contribute the full $13,000 to the Simple IRA for the final months of the year. Seco...
