Brent and Brees, I'll make you both feel better....I made a damn 15 on MKT Quiz. Definitely felt confident about the material going in. I'm really not even sure what to do differently to be better prepared...

Exactly! Hopefully low scores were the consensus and she reevaluates her questions going forward. I can see where that quiz would be a breeze using a book or notes but the questions are way too vague to answer based on recollection of the reading material.

Keep your head up brother. We have 5 more. Brent I agree about the questions. I thought a few questions could've gone either way, especially about the Amazon one and when she would ask which level is affected most. The material isn't difficult but she's making it harder than it needs to be.

When is that not the case in any of these classes?

Crushed a 19/30 on MKT 701 quiz! Lowest grade I've made in the program yet (I have one class left after this one). Studied my butt off after reading how difficult the quiz was for everybody. Anybody have any advice on this class?

I just finished marketing quiz and made a damn 18/30. I have no idea what happened. Also the lowest I have scored on anything in the program and this is my 7th class.

This is nuts. Did you guys think it was this hard or were you surprised by your score? I didn't know about 4 of them but after going back to them I was comfortable with my answer so I was shocked by my score.

This was also my lowest score in the program and I also only have one class left. This was my first MKT class of my life but really thought the material was straight forward and simple. But like its already been said she seems to be making this way more complicated then it needs to be. I really hate starting off with such a low score even though she drops the lowest grade, doesn't give any room to slip up later.

MADM 701
I made a 74% as well on the exam. I'm not happy at all. The platform and questions are BS. I swear there is some material on the quizzes that isn't in the book. The question format is over complicating simple the concepts.
I was in the top 10% in time spent studying, practice questions attempted, and score, yet still only scored a 74? Something doesn't add up.
The 'study' assignments don't even tell you what the correct answers are if you missed them. How the hell does that help you study?
I ordered the book this morning but won't be here until week 3 of the class. She screwed the pooch on that one, too.
This is my 3rd class and by far it has been the worst experience to date.

right there with you. Got a 72 percent on the test and was top 10 percent in study, etc. 7th course in the program, this is by far the worse course. Micromanaged and a ridiculous amount of assignments for a course in which the content is not difficult.

Sounds like it hasn't improved since I took it. Thought about quitting the program during MKT701 and I have a minor in Marketing and worked for years in the field. Make sure you share your experience in the course evaluation.

I thought that the MKT quiz was way harder than it needed to be. At this rate I just hope to pull out a B in the class. I have made A's in my previous 6 classes.
I began looking at the simulation info last night, seems to be really involved. Anyone else take a peek yet?
I am pretty sure that the groups are set up in alphabetical order by last name? Maybe some of us could end up in same groups.

The MKT class structure is just completely inappropriate for the program if LSUS wants students who are mid career professionals working full time. The material is not hard; however, the amount of coursework for 7 weeks is just absurd.

Just a heads up... check your MKT quiz grades. Mine went up a few points.

It's all about challenging yourself, no? What'd you expect, a grammar school workload?

I'm looking to pair ACCT 701 with another course for Fall AP1. Anyone have any recommendations on what to go with out of MKT 701 and MADM 701? TIA

Mine went up 6 points. Changes my grade from a 73 to 83. I did peak at the simulation stuff. I think it looks more overwhelming than it actually is. I did something similar in my undergrad at Nicholls. Hardest part will be for your group to agree and members to write their parts.

I have a technical degree so no reason to try to be condescending over some business courses.
I also don't think overloading people with coursework accomplishes anything other than trying to scare people off in this program. The material and content of the work was not difficult.
My point was if they were aiming to attract people that have real full time jobs and are in the middle of their career it is not appropriate for a 7 week course. I see the point of the program as learning the material and not jumping through hoops with busy work.

As opposed to fake?

Painting with a broad brush there. There are all ages in this program.

jumping through hoops with busy work
Subjective assertion. I thought this course was challenging, but not the busy work dystopia your painting.
