Good luck to everyone in the new session and congrats to those who finished up in the Spring.

Still waiting on a syllabus and/or assignments for MKT701.

BADM 790 - Business Analytics syllabus is published. I see that homeworks/assignments/discussion forums due almost every week. I heard that MADM 701 and MKT 701 are busy courses in this MBA program. Is Business Analytics also similar to them ? I appreciate if anybody compares so I can know what it takes to do this program.

Thanks

AACSB, I'm signed up for this class too and a little nervous after seeing the syllabus. I paired it with MADM 752 and was assuming it would be a class that would be light on the "busy work". I may drop it as I'll be on a 2 week vacation to China in weeks 6 and 7 and don't need a class with too much writing.

Starting FIN 701 with Vines today. Hoping it's not too bad. Good luck to everyone!

I went ahead and dropped BASM 790 this morning. Too much busy work to fit my hectic schedule this term. Sticking with one class - MADM 752.

Can anyone provide any insight on the weekly quizzes for MADM 752 with Dr. Knotts? Are they pretty intense and in depth or pretty simple as long as you've done the reading?

I am looking for some insight as well but to MADM 701 with Williams. Does her Exams follow along with the Wiley Plus assignment questions and Orion questions or does she try to throw a curve ball at us and make it way harder than needs to be.

I thought the exams were harder than they should be. The questions are based on some wording directly from the text so they could be anything. I never did much reading of the text. My studying consisted of reading through the power points because there was so much busy work and the power points did help a little. I think I got low Bs and possibly Cs on the test but ended up with an A because of all the other assignments.

I have a question about MKT701 with Dr. James. Were her quizzes always proctored or is this new? I don't recall reading that they were previously. Also in regards to her quizzes... are they multiple choice? true/false? short answer?

Thanks

Proctoring is new for James but tests were multiple-choice. Not a hard class but a ton of busy work. I heard that it was being restructured due to the survey responses.

Thanks. My last 2 classes were proctored and they weren't in previous sessions. I guess the program is making a push for it.

I Think the proctoring has to do with keeping up with their accreditation. This is the 2nd class I have it in.

752 with Knotts

Mindtap quizzes aren't difficult but beware of your time. The moodle quizzes are easier with a little more time. As always it's the small things but use common sense with your answers and you will be fine. Read the power points and articles and listen to assigned videos.

Best of luck

Thanks for the insight Claytonks! I also read from somewhere else that she draws from the power points, which is good because I retain more from them after I have read the chapters.

Yeah, thanks for the tips on 752, Claytonks. We're trying to figure things out this first week. The more we know of what to expect the easier it is to prepare.

At the bottom on the Discussion Forums they have a "Manage forum subscriptions" link. From there you should be able to turn on and off.

Has anyone taken the assessment or Mindtap quiz for MADM 752? My plan is to study tonight and take it tomorrow. I'm curious to know what I should focus on studying the most.
