My main section was about 3,090 words. I wrote an entirely new paper, so I didn't use anything from the skill builders. He seemed to like my paper, as I remember getting a good score.

I took this approach as well. I wrote on Mintzberg’s 5 Ps and how I used them to complete the paper. My total word count was roughly 3100 words. That included the abstract and the justification. I made a high a on it. I’m pretty sure he’s just looking to make sure you grasp the concepts and don’t plagiarize the majority of it. Best of luck!

I agree with what everyone said--definitely would try not to pair 701 with anything. I'm a competent writer and manage time well and I still had all nighters with that course. It's a ton of reading, writing, and memorization for the tests.

Really like both Gibbs and Shaughnessy--Gibbs' class sounds more labor intensive than the other section but he does a pretty good job of balancing it all and is a lenient grader.

I took McGee last Fall as one of my first classes paired with MKT. I enjoyed her class since it was pretty straight forward. She lined out what was needed and you just did the work. Of course that is when we has textbooks.
We had 2 chapters of reading, homework assignments that were practice problems from the reading, and one test per week that covered the reading. She utilized Protorio for the exams.

I am thinking of taking ACCT 701 with McGee - it will really help with my course rotation... What type of homework assignment? How much time did you spend per week?

Ugh... just found out this morning that my presentation for MADM 715 didn't upload any of my slides with audio. :(
She sent me an email last night.

Just wrapping up MADM 760 now, Synthesis paper is submitted and Team project is complete and ready to upload. Hoping that I get a decent score and finish w/ that A.

That will be the end for me. I started last October, will be done this October.

I signed up for MKT705 in fall AP1. I have no clue about casino's. Ive seen other comments on this class is why i signed up for it. In your opinion is it a good elective. It will be my 9th class in the program when i get to it just like it was for you.

Signa, I really enjoyed the course. The subject was interesting to me because I knew very little how casinos operate and market to their patrons. It wasn't a difficult course by any means. I will come away with a high "A" when it's all said and done.

It seems she was relatively lenient on the projects. Most everyone I've checked with was pleasantly surprised by their grades.
I guess there is that one guy that posted on the class forum unhappy with his C. I looked at his presentation, and there's a lot wrong with it, but no way, no how, am I going to comment on it over there.

I'd avoid taking those two classes together if you can help it. FIN 701 isn't too hard but does require a decent amount of attention to get an A...and I've heard horror stories about MKT 701, which I'm about to take in Summer AP1.
If you do end up taking those two together, just be prepared to dedicate a decent amount of time understanding the concepts in FIN 701, not just how to do the math.
