Back to the grind. Anyone is ISDS 702? I am. Looks pretty reasonable at first glance. I didn't have a lot of time to get into it yet though. I'm pairing it with MADM 701, so I'm hoping that it balances out all the writing.

Me... It almost seems too easy.
Half way done and finally there is a professor that posts a lecture and hosts zoom sessions?!?! Lovin' it!

Baroqen, Who do you have for MADM701? I took Williams last SPAP1 as my first class. After 20 yrs of no school, that was quite the wake-up call :(

hmmm... just started an HR MGMT certificate course today.
I'm having flashbacks to Wren's MADM 715.
Decided to try to find my notes on Labor Unions and re-opened some of the material she gave us.
HOW IN THE HELL did I/we ever make sense of that disorganized mess?!

Well, I see she is teaching it again. Best of luck to those registering for it.
I did somehow get an A. Even on my project, of which I seriously thought was only average quality.

So, who all is heeding to GeauxUF's advice and taking ISDS 702 with Koskal? I'm there :)

So MADM 760
Heller
Meeks
McLaughlin?

The forum consensus?

Not able to comment on past experience.
After much research, here and on rate my professor, I'm going with Heller in AP2. :)

curious about MADM 701 with Heller

Just looked him up on Rate My Professor... looks good and all positive. Thinking I will take MADM 760 with him in Spring
As I've read back several pages from Fall Semester (of which I sat out in attempt to breathe for a moment). I've noticed several new faces since I hung out here over summer.
Happy to see more feedback and people. The program must be gaining popularity with the increase in course offerings this Spring, YA'AY!!!!

I thought I'd share something that took me a bit to learn (okay, so maybe I'm a little slow ;) )
(how to see who is teaching a course ahead of registration).

Go to Homepage (LSUS.edu)
Under Quick Links (top right of screen)
>>> "Class Schedule"

Each time you search a new class you need to be certain that you select the correct term.

Hope this helps some of you as you get ready to register for Spring 2019 on Monday.

Those of you that are almost done with the program... CONGRATS!!!!! Your patience and diligence (and frustrations along the way) have paid off :)

705 is an easily pairable class. I’d definitely take it with Gibbs. 702 is a really engaging and interesting class, I enjoyed it a lot. I took it alone since the format was still a little wishy washy but I could have done something with it.

Thanks for your insight Glinda. Unfortunately, I cannot take two classes at a time (only one per AP session) B/t single mom, full-time job, trying to change careers, and a house & dog... lol I've got to keep the schedule light or I would completely loose my sanity. lmao! Not to mention, the snow is about to fly and I am still thinking of teaching skiing this winter. ??? :rotflmao:

The "great things" about Lin are not related to the man as much as the format he used to run the class in, which has now changed.

^^^ Perfect... I think I saw a note to changes.
I'll stick with Koskal for 702.
THANKS!

Planning my Spring schedule...

After reading a few things about 702 vs 705, I'm thinking 702 with Koskal for AP1 (I don't have a strong background in coding or statistics). Though Lin is teaching 705 and I've heard great things about him as well.
That leaves my other options for AP2 as MADM 760 (Heller), ACCT 701 (Huang) or FIN 701 (Choi).
I know that Shaugnessy and Vines are preferred, but I haven't heard anything about those that are teaching core classes in AP2.

Any input on Heller, Huang or Choi?

Sorry...the following message was a response for those in MADM 720 commenting on the leadership profile.
Is it still Monday? Can't get anything right. lol

Note from a procrastinator... DO NOT procrastinate on the leadership skills test and leave them all for the end. ;)

I actually enjoyed MADM 720, lol.
Though it prompted me to take a break.
Now I'm back.

GOOD LUCK!

Thank you all for the condolences on my uploading mishap.

My silent prayer that she would be drunk and tired when grading my presentation was fulfilled... SOMEHOW I got an A?!?!
Holy crap!

Ugh... just found out this morning that my presentation for MADM 715 didn't upload any of my slides with audio. :(
She sent me an email last night.
Spent two hours at work today, exporting and importing and compressing.
What a PAIN IN THE :moon:

I'm just praying to get a C in the class at this point. :(

@Utah bahahaha

@youngblood nooooooo!! And I'm so far behind on reading this week....and my coaster is now plummeting after being so happy *sigh*

Okay, just finished... there HAS to be an error in the answer key. There is NO WAY IN HELL that I should have a 64 on that test. There are maybe only 4 questions that I eliminated down to two and guessed. There's something wrong with the key. :(

I absolutely bombed the test in MADM715 this week

NNoooo... don't tell me that. I was just about to skip the last 60 pages of the Hastings ADA review. Seems like it should be fairly clear. :(
Perhaps I'll just review everything else I've read and chance it. *sigh*
I'm so sorry!

Anybody else's MADM 715 Virtual Presentation grade posted? A big weight just lifted off my shoulders. I'm going to pass the class!! (because it got questionable there for a moment)

Mine just showed up. I am so glad she was lenient on these!

I'm hoping that she's drunk and tired by the time she gets to mine.
Meanwhile, anyone braved the test yet? I'm still reading but HAVE to get it done as tomorrow there will be no time.

Right... I just realized that I think I screwed up on the format/structure.
Oh well... here's to acing the last 3 tests. :banghead:

Now I get to have 4 hrs sleep before my interview in the morning.
SOOOOO glad that I have my Community Coffee shipped in. lmao!

@mtntreks... I'm certain I'm going to loose some points. I took this morning off of work and left things half arse to get out of work this afternoon. I'm scared!

Slides done... now to just do the voice and pray I can upload it nicely, considering I've done it all in Google Slides. Even more SCARED!

It's 11pm here... I'm beat!

@WDE251 good luck on your presentation... I had anxiety attack this morning when I realized that I couldn't add voice in Google slides. Figured out how and now I'm about to try and finish it all up. Going to be a LONG night!
Hoping for quiet time to record voice and the neighbor's started the chainsaw.

On a brighter note, I have another interview tomorrow for my pending career change to Human Resources. :)

@Getitdone.... your username is fitting. ;)

I get what you're saying; however, as recently as last year I could never have imagined working full-time, single parenting, and working a seasonal 2nd job while going to school. Well, I ended up quitting my seasonal job, yet here I am (I clocked 50 hrs last week at work and my kids now cook 3 nights a week - spaghetti, tacos, frozen pizza  ).

Wish me luck! Tomorrow I have an interview for an HR coordinator within my same org. :)

I'm jealous of those of you that can take two classes per term. Talk about finishing FAST!
I just registered...
Sm1 - MADM 720 (F Williams)
Sm2 - MADM 710 (K Williams)
F1 - Fin 701 (Vines)
F2 - MADM 760 (Meeks)

Hoping that knocking out most of my MADM's will help with sitting for my HR cert in the fall.

Going into 715 exam in a few minutes relatively blind.... *sigh*
I just can't bring myself to read one more thing.

I'm hoping to go old school and layout my power points on paper tonight and then start slapping them together tomorrow.

I see that Module 5 readings are already up.
