I think we are in the same or similar Fidelity fund. I’ve actually had to adjust my contributions because this fund has grown so much is was overweighting me to tech even more than I already wanted.

17.1%
My company gives us very limited options. 1 large cap, mid cap, small cap, emerging markets, international, etc. You get the idea. The other choices are target date blend funds. I set my own and out performed all the target ones. It sucks, but nothing I can do about it but do some post tax investing in my brokerage account.
I did increase my withholdings for 2021 from 6% to 12%. My company matches 6% and gives an additional 6%, so that puts me at 24% this year. Only 18 more years of servitude left.

+5%
Seems low for this year, but I was in oil when the bottom fell out. I was -50% at one point. I traded my butt off to get +5%.
I'm more proud of the +5% than any of my other years of trading. Learned some hard lessons this year, but I am MUCH wiser because of it.

+65 percent on my Robinhood account. Definitely much better than I could have ever expected. Just going to continue to put in on dips and grow the account. Have found that to be the best route so far and hope we don’t have a crash.

Just used a simple calculator online that takes my 1/1/20 total portfolio balance, 12/31/20 portfolio balance and all of my contributions throughout the year and it spit out 18.82%
Shows the power of an extremely short time frame and getting lucky.
401k only returned 12.12% contributing throughout the year. A few contributions came at low points but obviously the majority came at or around ATHs. Additionally, a few unluckily timed transfers as I said in my previous post.
My Roth contributions and many of my taxable contributions just happened to come at many of the low points of the year. Not due to skill, but really luck.
My Roth annualized return was 64% and my taxable annualized was like 45%

I got mass downvoted for speaking about my perceived implications of corona on businesses. It’s residual now, I post anything and downvotes follow because of it. However, I’d say this year worked out well

My overall was a 17% gain. In April, at the bottom, I was down 20% from the end of 2019, so I think from there I was up 37% for the rest of the year.

Brokerage account which is strictly options trading and very active-987.8%
Roth-all equities trading and pretty active-267.7%
SEP-not too active mostly buy and hold-133.1%
Total return-262.8%
Life changing year and not expecting to have another year like this one. Goal for 2021 is to stick to my game plan.
ETA figure I will get plenty of downvotes. I spend all my free time doing this. It’s not a hobby for me

OP, It’s not your typical passive 401k if you rolled it over to an actively managed IRA. Or whatever vehicles allowed stock trades. Good job. But thread is misleading and irrelevant.
I was 24.7% in passive account and “only” 96.5% in actively managed account. I say only, because I left a lot of money on the table, and a blond monkey could have gotten 50-75% this year.

Funniest thing about this forum and I knew it would happen. Bunch of ppl pissed about someone doing well when they should be asking questions. Ask questions! Learn! Geez that annoys me! I started a thread if anyone wants to go back and look and no one seemed to pay attention. Give me 100 downvotes please. That way I know I’m doing things right

One of those was mine. I automatically downvote anytime a poster is whining about getting downvoted
