1) American Funds with a 5% load.
2) My house in a new subdivision development. I'll still be competing with new builds when I get ready to sell in a couple more years.
That's pretty much it.

While I completely understand your regretting buying a TAG, I'm at a bit of a loss concerning your larger point

I love my Tag. My wife bought it for me 4 years ago for our Anniversary when I got her engagement ring reset.
The Chevy 2dr Tahoe I bought when i was in college because I got a whopping $.50/hr raise and just HAD TO HAVE is my big one. I loved it, but i bought it just in time for a ton of regular maintenance- starter, brake system, alternator, etc.

The last drink of the night on several occasions (either for me or her or both of us).
A ticket on Trans American Flight 209 from LA we had a choice of steak or fish. I had the lasagna.

A bass boat. Not an incredibly expensive one, but a brand new depreciation machine. Used it a ton the first year, then about 10 times total the following 2 years. It's true what they say about the best 2 days of a boat owner's life...

1984 Suzuki Madura 700 - just a much larger bike than I was able to handle and I didn't really have the money. Sold 6 months later for a 30% loss

A nice Tag Watch - wore it a lot when I got it, but don't wear a watch any more because it lends itself to rudeness in meetings.

What kind of meeting you going to?

I like to pick on the Tag owners as it's, in my opinion, in a bit of a no-man's-land in the price/value spectrum, but it's all in good fun

I check the time too often. It implies that I am ready to get out of the place. Tons of people wear a watch without being rude, but I'm a little OCD and do it without even knowing it. In my job, small things like that can make a big difference.

Same here. But mixed in with anxiety. So times ten. If it's not the phone, it's the watch. If it's not the watch, it's shaking my leg. If it's not shaking my leg, it's pulling at my cuffs. If it's not my cuffs, it's the ink pen. Etc. Etc. I have to have an outlet so I keep a rubber band with me, drop my hand to my side, and fidget with it. It's a lot more inconspicuous and allows me to keep my focus on speaker.
I've only had one person really notice, and they just laughed when I explained it. It reminded me of that scene from Silicon Valley when Richard is trying to buy the name Pied Piper and the guy says "You're just like my boy. He's got aspergers, too."

I dont regret any stock purchase......
I regret not buying stocks I've seen grow in the past and not purchasing or selling to early in life for sake of profit and not growth...... I'd be retired if I'd have kept that 30000 shares of Ford I owned after the recession hit at 1 dollar and change per share investment..... Sold at 3 and thought I was a fricking genius

I rarely check the time, but I often find myself staring at the dial of my watch, which is functionally the same thing from an outsider's perspective

Plane ticket to go see a girl I had only met once prior.
Some of the lap dances I purchased.
Discount loafers I found online.
Platform bed a girl talked me into.
