The stock is artificially high, may run higher tomorrow. HFs need to close their positions and the price will decline sharply?

Haha the same thought went through the minds of hedgefund managers for the past week. How did that work out?

It’s actually a good idea, but the premiums are insanely high because everyone knows it will eventually go down

The hedge funds felt the same and are now losing billions.

Yeah. Go ahead and follow their lead.

My question was theoretical. I’m 20 yrs removed from black sholes and didn’t exactly grasp it then. I’m a rule of 72er. I meant no ill wishes to those with skin in the game.

This is the actual answer. When I looked it had to go below $40 or something insane for it to make money.

Hedge funds are short in their GME position.

To close their short position they would have to buy GME shares, not sell them. If the hedge funds buy, the price pressure will be upwards, not down.

When the basement nerds start selling GME to lock in their gains then the price pressure will be downward.

This all must be quite fascinating for you. I’m truly curious, what are your thoughts on the current situation?

You can’t be serious and good luck getting any shares to borrow.
