I’m going to have around 10k spare in two weeks. Should I drop it in more stocks or go with something else like real estate? Stocks haven’t done shite for me since 2021.

I own: Apple, Disney, Crowdstrike, Amazon, Google, Tesla, Visa, Chase, RTX, Uber, Bank of America, Rivian, CZR, and Coinbase.

Any stocks y’all recommend? Really appreciate any help.

Depends on your risk tolerance...

Either....

Caesar's....
All on Red. You'll either be really happy or back where you started.

OR....

An ETF or index fund instead of an individual stock.

Why not go with something like VOO, VTI, VOOG, or VOOV?

Those would be Vanguard S&P 500, Total Stock Market, S&P 500 Growth, and S&P 500 Value ETFs, respectively. I included VOOV & VOOG in case you were interested in a value/growth tilt.

Brother - you're going to be disappointed often if you rely on 2-year historical averages...expand that to 6-10 years and a much brighter horizon will appear.

Use the wheel strategy on Disney.

Start with a cash secured put at the strike price of your choosing. Expiration dates that are 30-45 days out are preferred. Look for 1-3% premium on the sale. Robinhood makes this process really easy.

If the shares get put to you then sell covered calls at a higher price.
Rinse and repeat, collecting premium each time you do it.
You should be able to make 20-30% per year doing this.

Some of my clients use SVB. This is full on panic mode. I am captivated by what is going on.

Buy bullets

Or buy a bunch of weed and start nickel and diming. The stock market is gonna keep going down. It’s never gonna go back to 20/21 levels and the us will be a 3rd world country in 20 years

I don't get the hate on my suggestion:

I like guarantees in this market.
The OP would automatically receive $146 by selling a put at the $85 strike price on DIS.

He made an automatic 1.71% on 8,500 today.
Where are you getting 1.7% today without taking a huge risk?

Yeah, I was surprised by that too. Although I can’t speak to Disney as a pick, done properly (with equities that one wants to own), the strategy can be very lucrative.

Probably because you're telling someone about jet engines that asked about a garden tiller.

As stated already, index fund or ETF and leave it alone.
