I had no car payments for about 2 months then in March of 17 I bought my 250 after I paid off my wife’s Jeep Grand Cherokee. The plan was to pay my truck off in 3 years and get her a new car but she couldn’t wait

Truck and SUV have about 20k left, only 800 a month total between the two. It'll be nice when they are both paid off in two years. Wifes car is basically brand new still because she doesn't drive it much. We both will ride these vehicles down for years and years if it allows us.
Definitely can't wait to get out of these notes and add it on top of the principal on the house to get that next off the docket.

Around $500 a month in payments
2013 Volvo XC60
2015 Subaru Outback
After the warranty is up on the Volvo its being sold cause repair costs are high.

Debt: About $8k (Lease on Q50S)
Also have a 2014 Accord paid for. So overall net equity around $12k. Cash flow about $550/mo.

The negative, monthly $1,000 cash flow makes me sick. we have $21500 total left.20,000 at 2.65% (2016 Yukon Xl) and $1,500 at 2.95% (2015 Silverado)
Dear god man, that would kill me.
What made you want to buy new cars like those? Do you need them for work?
Not the financial move I would've made given that I don't know how much money you make.

Honda Pilot has been paid off since 2011
Nissan Titan has been paid off since 2011
Nissan Armada will be paid off this December.
Now for tax deduction purposes I MAY have to trade in truck and get another. We shall see. Regardless if I only keep one note and it saves me a ton in taxes I’m
Good with it as everything else has been paid off including home and timeshare since 2011/2012.

16K left on Dodge Challenger
I have an old BMW that's essentially just a spare car that has been paid off since 2012
The note is about 25% of a regular weekly paycheck for me so I don't mind it
If I were making the money I was making 10 years ago I'd probably have a cheaper car

And you're probably just chomping at the bit to pay off the 2015 to get a new one, right?
In all seriousness, cars are the biggest single obstacles to middle class development of wealth.
I'm holding about $26k, $500 a month. I don't know if I could stomach any more.

>$500. Obviously, soon to be zero.
But will have two teenage drivers in a few years, so no reason to get excited.

Agree.
Owe about $2500K at 0%, 2015 VW Passat. 2017 VW GTI, paid off. I buy new, but drive until there’s nothing left. I can’t wrap my brain around folks living in a $100K house, minimal investments, with $80K in cars sitting in the driveway. It’s insane.
Reminds me of my cousin, who has always lived in large metro areas & thus has never owned a car. He retired at 52, and several family members couldn’t quite figure out how he did it. I had to get out paper and pencil to demonstrate that his $50/mo transit pass and zero other transportation costs played a big part in his ability to save.

What is the point of accumulating wealth if you’re not going to enjoy it?
For me, cars are one of life’s great pleasures.
