WHY!!!! the at that point the stock was up 400% in less than a month. WHY???!!!!!
Why???
Because this entire fricking thread was saying the stock was going to 100 or more. That's why. Quit acting surprised that someone bought at 16.

ok can someone please explain to me why some of you are riding it out?
I have 33 shares @ $14.38. The stock isn't going to zero (and if it did, oh well). There is nothing to be done now except lose money by selling, so why not hold? I could ride it for years if need be and it's not going to bother me. It could always shoot up on a given day for whatever reason, so might as well let it sit.

this should never have been a play for anything over $10 and really that was a little late.
True.

Everyone on here should have sold @ $14 plus for a solid gain.
Everyone saw WSB drive the GME stock from the $20s to $380 in a couple of days, sooooo......that probably has a little to do with it.

I like that subreddit, but yall need to understand while they are saying that on there, they are selling you there shares in the background.
Oh, I have no doubt.

GME short position was much greater than GME.

Take your loss, go follow AT and make some plays on what he suggest or get in on one fo the others when people post them, dont wait until its all over twitter and your grandma is talking about it.

well then this entire thread is filled with dumb fricks that are greedy as hell.
at 16 you are literly 3 days late. at that point you just stay out.
and people talking about it going to 100 are stupid. it wasnt 140% shorted like GME. it was shorted enough to drive the damn thing up 400% though and you have to learn to take what you can.
Im not perfect by anymeans and have learned hard lessons in crypto which is even more volitile than the wsb stocks. But i can tell you from expierence, when FOMO sets in and you are late to the party, better to sit it out.

There’s some horrible advice on this page.
And so many weird people doing some kind of bizarre mix of gloating and pretending their advice was asked for

I know what you meant, but I hear you. I was just hoping to see $30 or so, not $380. Understand, we don't all have "moon beams" in our eyes.

I will eventually. Who is AT btw?

and? its still 3 days late. sure could have made money but even easier to lose money.

As long as you have the buying power to ride it out it’s not a big deal. I fear many don’t and that’s what they’re counting on. I bought today at 6.50 just to get my avg to 9 and I’ll do it again if nec.

That’s an increase after you bought.

That literally applies to every gambling situation and over 90% of single stock picks.
Do you have a point or you just enjoy being an a-hole?

It’s like watching a football game with “that dude”. Questions every play after it’s over and the result is known.

im not acting like an expert, just not understanding why someone would buy after its went way up like that. I am anything but a fricking expert. nor am i trying to monday morning QB, i just assumed everyone would have bought under $10 as it was all over this board, twitter, wsb etc and then sold when it did the big run up to 16-20. or atleast sold on the way back down at 16.
If this was crypto you would be tearing people a new a-hole for not selling when up 400%.
Posted on 2/2/21 at 12:26 pm to lsu777
It's because everyone got swept up in GME and thought it could be replicated everywhere else...and they'd make 1000% gains in a few days. It was a dumb belief then and it's looking even dumber today.

There were/are a lot of things at work in this situation.
The platform restrictions really dampened any momentum these stocks had. Without that, who knows where they would have went. They likely would all be crashing similarly after the run, but the extent of the became much more muddled. If people held, or transferred money, or did X, it could affect the price. Unfortunately, it screeched to a slow agonizing halt, before plummeting off the cliff.
I’m really disappointed THIS board turned into the shite show that it did with :rocket: and “to the moon” and “HODL” and “diamond hands” and the bullshite that goes on at Reddit. This place tends to filter that crap from over there, but it got caught up in the frenzy too. So it became very difficult for people to distinguish the bullshite from the good advice.

I bet 777 was saying the same thing when GME went from $4 to $50. Easy to be a Monday morning QB bud
