Are you in that boat where the "little guys" on reddit are trading more volume in AMC than TSLA, AAPL, MSFT, and AMZN COMBINED in 1 day? More than AMZN's record intraday volume in their history? More than AMC's total market cap?

This is unprecedented. I’ve never seen a company put this in a prospectus (I’m taking Yahoo Finance’s word here; haven’t actually read the prospectus myself:

Yeah it’s crazy, but I think most longs know this isn’t a $20+ stock in the longer run, so I don’t see why it would phase them. This is all about forcing a squeeze, not some value proposition.

yep, the problem is most people just react emotionally to so many things and this is no different.

Nothing substantial in terms of short interest has changed with AMC since last week... so if you thought AMC was a good play last week then I can't imagine what has happened to change that other than the price going up... Until I see the short interest changing with significance I am sitting back and enjoying the roller coaster.

Honestly it is CYA for AMC when the squeeze is over and the stock price returns to normal valuations. Someone left holding the bag will gather up people for a class action saying AMC did something evil with the dilution.

To be fair that class action suit is pretty much an automatic at this point, but going to be hard not to be thrown out when they send out a warning telling people not to invest.

6 months from now everyone will be talking about how they bought AMC at $4 and sold at $60. You won’t be able to find a bag holder in sight. It’s how all of these moon plays seem to go. Stock falls 80% from its highs but no one lost money.

For the board’s sake, I hope that’s the case each time, but I doubt it.

I think it’s beautiful they are selling stock into this rally. It reminds me of the second Railway Mania in Britain in the 1840s. Yes, promoters lied and investors lost their asses, but at least they donated to one of the most developed infrastructure assets in the world at that time, which contributed to the British economy expanding when much of Europe was contracting.

That’s what these “apes” don’t understand. They are going to lose their arse, but at least they may have contributed to some staying power for AMC given the company has been selling pennies for a dollar on the back of this ridiculous surge in momentum. Frankly, I think that’s a main reason they have the warning in their prospectus, so they can point back to it and say, “Hey, don’t accuse us of being a manipulator. We told people these prices were unsustainable. That said, we’re selling stock like bandits while we can!”

Except that they are selling stock to pay down debt which otherwise could have been unserviceable.

I’m a long term buyer of AMC at $8.00 for the free popcorn incentive. Every share of AMC will cost less than popcorn at AMC at that point

yea. AMC investors have largely outperformed everyone this year

but you know there's many now with average share costs in the $60s that are shitting themselves

I'm still up pretty good and have no clue how this will play out. But I really don't think it's done.

Yeah I remember the usual suspects shitting on GME when it would dip 20% saying I told you so and then the next day it would be up 60%

I sold of 30% at 50.

Not looking a gift horse in the mouth. I’m comfortable with my near $40/share increase.

The company is going to end up with a ton of cash on hand, in this market is not a terrible strategy.

My sister made 545 bucks yesterday she brought 2 shares at 10 a piece. Should I tell her to sell? Or hold

I’m going to hold on to one share when this is done just so I can keep my free popcorn.
