Don’t retire here. Eight states don’t tax 401k.

Do your homework and find out how this state makes retirees suffer. Not only can you avoid those taxes, you can also avoid pension taxes.

Texas is not a retirement friendly location. The property taxes suck you dry if you live anywhere near a major metro. Maybe the small towns in texas are better with regards to that.

If you are simply talking about states without income tax, there are 9 I believe.
