The chatter around DC is that it’s a matter of when, not if, when the WH folds or walk backs. The focus is on figuring out the best excuse/narrative to roll with. The meeting with Walmart and target execs spooked Trump, supposedly.

I think the bottom is behind us, but I also don’t thing the djia will get back to 44/45k until 2028.

Bottom is behind now that Trump is actively trying to give it a boost

I can see a pullback next week after a strong week, but the bottom is in

With both countries now walking tariffs back, seems like things will settle for a bit

I think another pullback is imminent. SPY going to hit its head around 5570 or so. Hope I’m wrong.

We haven’t hit the bottom yet. The Red Chinese are going to frick with Trump and make him cave to them. They will try to rank our stock market to increase pressure on him.

May 1 a lot of companies will start adjusting prices up if they haven’t already. I wonder if we don’t see a “pause” with China before end of the month.

I think the market is going to be tepid until the fed says they have a clear picture regarding tariffs and inflation.

Shouldn’t get a massive drop unless trump goes back to the bullshite level of tariffs he originally announced

We are now officially safe to invest in companies that are not profitable again.

Behind us.

This isn’t 2022 where we slow bleed w low VIX forever. VIX spiking always creates a short term, violent pullback followed by a long melt up in stocks and a volatility unwind.

Given the evident willingness to do almost literally anything with no warning, I don't see how anyone can be confident of anything.

That said, I think we go lower, tariff or no tariff.

Currently the market is responding positively to reports that that we are negotiating deals and are relaxing some tariffs.

That’s great, until we start hearing reports like the Japanese trade team being baffled by what their US counterparts are asking. They keep moving the goal posts, and as a result, the Japanese team left after 2 days.

I’m not sure the remaining 80 or so other countries we are trying to Art of the Deal won’t react like the Japanese and just say efff it.

This administration seems to have an incompetence factor that is disturbing, and if we get to the 90-day point, and there are no substantial deals achieved, the market will start puking again.

The manipulated bottom is in. Fundamental issues are starting to arise in the economy, though. They won’t likely appear in the market until much later. They may never appear because President Trump really cares about the stock market, probably more than any other president. Although that has not been evidence in the first 100 days.

If the world lets TRUMP lead, the DOW will be 50K in 12 months.

That's the way it usually happens.
