Is a shitshow right now. I have zero problems believing they slowed things down. That seems to be their SOP now. I can say with 100% certainty now that SLI separating from Lanxess was the best thing they could've done. Although it looked bad initially, SLI needed a partner that would spend some money and bring something to the table in refining the process. Lanxess saves face by having the opportunity to invest but SLI can proceed without them. This would be dead in the water if not for that.

I was gearing up to sell 10% of my position this week until Mike dropped his post about trusting Mintak and then his call summary for dessert.
Will continue to pass along whatever seems prudent with a moderate dose of speculation mixed in.
Not here to influence anyone else's decisions and am always open to having my takes balanced by the opposite sentiment at a given moment.
Thanks for the encouragement

I’ll probably get back in around $2.00

Because it's shaping up to be an otherwise boring Friday, I'll play the carnival gypsy game this morning and read pre-market MM signal tea leaves.
So far we have a 100 signal (I need shares) and a 500 signal (gap the stock). Tea leaves tell me that an MM is going to drive the price up while another chases, big day coming.
60% of the time, my tea leaves are right every time.

What news is going to move this over the next year or two? I mean is this going to get back over 5 in that timeframe? It has been said they dont plan on mining for a few more years correct? Why would anyone that was not invested at .60 cent want to buy a few thousand shares when this may not move for a few years? Give me a reason to buy a few thousand shares now ? I like what you guys have to say but i have seen nothing that says this is at 5 a year from now. Make a new investor want this. If all you got is in 5 years you wont regret it then i could buy next year at the same time and still not regret it right? I own a few shares at 4 but just have not seen anything to make me want to buy more.

Obviously the market is forward-looking and sharps don't wait for things to be obvious to everyone before establishing positions but I think the bigger issue at hand in the short term with stocks like $SLI is a broader market correction more than anything.
If you like the stock buy in tranches and DCA. There's a reason the adage "time in the market beats timing the market" is so cliché. Smart money doesn't wait for something to look like a layup before it's deployed (Risk-->Reward). Sure you could wait and load up on a correction, but you're risking the opportunity for asymmetry. If $XOM comes in and flops it on the table and you're still on the sidelines you might not be too happy with your decision.

So how are things going on the yahoo SLI page?

Never heard of it. Was just a joke, trying to lighten the mood, but everyone so sensitive here. Anything under 2 should be a long hold, and that’s only a 40% drop from here, with Sept/October blues ahead. May miss my targets, but looking to buy a lot of shares, and it’s alway a risk/reward to get in and time any stock, and since ground isn’t getting broke till 2025, just hoping at the lowest entry point possible( more shares). It’s always a gamble, enter at your own risk…

It's a 58% drop from our 3.45 closing today to get to $2. I doubt that happens.

Probably not, but it’s a gamble like everything

I mean this with respect, but I hope you never own another share. I hope you are the guy running behind the train waving a ticket in your hand, carrying your luggage...and trip over a rail road cross tie.
Nothing personal...lol

Everyone in this board has had their chance to catch this train if/when it takes off. This shite with “I need to get one more buy in lower” should have shut down at page 500.

Means nothing to me, I’ll catch something else. It’s all good

I don’t understand people feeling like they need to wait for it to go lower before buying. At today’s price you get shares for less than 50% of what Koch paid while the company has de-risked significantly since Koch’s investment.

At the same time, macro economic conditions have changed significantly since then. Interest rates and growth vs value being primary drivers
