I still have never been able to shake off that first blue orca short report where it pointed out all these odd details about Mintak, like the fact his last foray was in a movie production company etc. It indicated he's been involved in pump and dumps before.
It shook my confidence; but then like 2 or 3 weeks later if I recall, Koch gave them 100 million. It made no sense.
Kind of been paralyzed ever since, haven't bought or sold much.

One thing I learned from all of this is that I really sell myself too short. If Mintak can pull that off, I could at least get a promotion

Let's not forget that not only is the Lanxess DFS late, the SWA PFS was also expected in this 1H 2023. I wonder if they'll roll them out together.

It's a legit concern and I don't have a tiny portion compared to some of you.

I only have a tiny bit, as well. Probably a bad move on my part but I dropped a significant portion of my "play money" in SLI.
It is a concern. On the surface, the pilot plant itself looks to be legitimate. They appear to be able to remove lithium from a waste stream. But they havent shown any evidence of their legitimacy. Compared to other juniors, they cant even post an image of a Super Sack full of lithium carbonate. It's all just "trust me". Lots of conferences. But they miss every damn deadline.
This was a valuable learning experience for me. I will never invest in a company like this again. It's just fancy gambling.

Koch's investment is the main reason I've taken a chance on this. Of course $100 million for them is not much more than a fart in a hurricane.

When my money is involved, I tend to have a short memory. I have also been watching for an announcement and am disappointed we didn’t get one today. But that doesn’t mean it’s time to panic…we’ve seen this before, repeatedly. If nothing else, these guys are methodical and precise in their progressions. There may very well be a finished study to report on that is still not public , or it may not be ready yet. But to my ignorant mind most everything to this point has been positive, if a bit on the slow side. This is a huge deal, and I am OK with them taking a “check twice (or 3 times), cut once” approach

Does anyone know any background besides what’s given on this David Park? Would he take this advisory role if things weren’t looking positive?

Probably a good fit without COI. Has tons of experience and a way Koch can maintain eyes on their investments

Still early, but so far the market is wrong on this one. Fine by me, I've got a nice cash influx coming early next week and will be upping my position here a good bit. I was worried this PR would have us over $5 by then (it still might)
Bringing on David Park is a great sign, that guy is legit and is not joining a scam or sinking company. Plus, his rolodex is probably worth 100x whatever they are paying him.
They set a DFS deadline, missed it, and released a PR explaining where they were at the day after the missed deadline. That's professional and accountable.
Nice little PR - selfishly hope the market waits to react til next Tuesday haha.
