Galvanic- where Exxon just bought
Tetra- where SLI's SWA Project is
Lanxess- where SLI's Lanxess Project is

Maybe they plan to license SLI's patents... If they try to infringe it, I know one of the world's best patent lawyers.

Seems as if SLI is on to something.

I guess Exxon moving in gets more eyeballs onto the Smackover Formation so that can't hurt us, right?

At the Jan 6 EV Battery Metals Conference, Mintak mentioned plans to significantly grow the company and mentioned possible partnerships with energy companies with drilling and reinjection experience.
Exxon maybe???

This ticker is drunk.
Feels like the DFS is imminent. Quite a few catalysts lined up for the next 3-5 months.
DFS/FEED “due” soon. FID clock starts ticking immediately once that is released (90 days max). PFS for the SW site which should, if nothing else, throw some gaudy numbers out for investors to drool over.
Anything under $5 probably looking like a good entry. Gotta think this wave of catalysts incoming is gonna push the price back towards Koch’s entry at a minimum.

i picked up some more shares on the Exxon news. With all the big players in this area now this has got to make this stock look pretty appealing right?

Yep. Feeling like the hope for a real run could come true this time.

SLI has to pick up the pace, I dont like seeing that.

Here we go again, now SLI has sampled the highest lithium grade in Arkansas.
For reference, the Lithium concentrations in SLI's other locations:
Lanxess Project = 230-250
SWA = up to 581, average of 563 (today's news)
East Texas = up to 634 (highest confirmed grade in North America)
COO Andy Robinson: "In our experience, the grade of lithium in brine used for Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) has a meaningful impact on both capital expenditures and operating costs in connection with the extraction process, so a higher grade typically results in lower overall costs and should have a positive effect on project economics in the forthcoming Preliminary Feasibility Study (PFS)."
Between the higher brine lithium concentrations and the higher lithium market prices since the PEA was released, this upcoming PFS might be exciting.

So I think there is sufficient evidence that there is plenty of lithium there for this to be a monster.
However, the fundamental question is whether the technology works or works at scale. It is really that simple.
I have lost faith over the past year or so with the missed timelines, lack of evidence etc. Still hold some shares but a muched reduced position from the $10 plus days.
Fingers crossed

Agree if Exxon gets in there and starts mining soon and SLI is still sitting there then that will not fly for shareholders.

What DLE tech does Exxon currently possess?

Deleted as someone above posted the article.

It’s nice that they’ve got some good samples. That should have a massive impact on equipment sizing. I do wonder how repeatable that concentration is in the same well as well as other wells in the area.
But honestly, I’m not even sure why they’d announce that. Those numbers should be used in their feasibility studies. What purpose does it serve to tell everyone about it when you’ve been dragging your feet on the one thing that can turn that brine into money.
Are they advertising the area?

Interesting point. Maybe trying to entice a buyer.

it seems that way to me. Wouldnt you want to sit on that little secret if you intended to build a plant there?

Things people share are always debatable. Whether it's friends, spouses, business partners or political candidates.
One poster wants them publish more pilot plant stuff, and another wants them to keep good news a secret.
We can only HOpe that whoever is making these calls has some damn strategy in mind that makes sense. Hard to tell from this faraway.
Then again, what else do we have to do but speculate at this point.
