Another good aspect of STLHF... doesn’t get murdered on earnings calls like any tech stock that isn’t Amazon.

If we can keep the progressive media from labeling lithium as crude oil for EV's, we have a bright future.

Ready to ride boys and girls? Have a good feeling about the next week or so.

Word of warning, that usually means the opposite will happen.

I am ready!

I will say, our German ticker is not having a good day. Down 5%. Not usually a good sign for us, but not an absolute correlation.

I hope so, I am tired of hearing other companies making moves and gaining traction in this field while standard is stagnant.

Just this morning on Fox business they did a special on a silicon lithium battery company that instead of waiting for things to open up like standard in Canada they charted their own transport planes and flew in the needed manufacturing equipment to get around the blockage at the ports.

Usually pretty consistent though. Unless locals get rolling if it opens down.

Interesting post on the stocktwits board on this one....

User CW777: "my group owns ~1.3M shares, or about 1%, of this company. Given the nature of this business and market this is a long hold obviously. A 4 billion dollar market cap puts this stock over $30. We believe we’ll see this kind of valuation within the next half decade. Needless to say we’re in it for the long haul! Surprised to see how few followers this stock has. Goes to show how early we still are on this one! Not even listed on the major exchanges yet but won’t be long"

Lithium article in the NYT today (paywall alert) mentions Standard.

The Lithium Gold Rush

quote:

But several companies working on the direct lithium extraction technique — including Lilac Solutions, based in California, and Standard Lithium of Vancouver, British Columbia — are confident they have mastered the technology.

Both companies have opened demonstration projects using the brine extraction technology, with Standard Lithium tapping into a brine source already being extracted from the ground by an Arkansas chemical plant, meaning it did not need to take additional water from the ground.

“This green aspect is incredibly important,” said Robert Mintak, chief executive of Standard Lithium, who hopes the company will produce 21,000 tons a year of lithium in Arkansas within five years if it can raise $440 million in financing. “The Fred Flintstone approach is not the solution to the lithium challenge.”

Bulk of article is about enviromental concerns with extraction at sites out west. Standard's quote gives it cover for those issues.

I bumped up to 6500 shares.

A good piece of advice is to not judge or react to things day to day. Pick stocks you believe in and stick it out. Hopefully this is a winner.

Collectively we’re probably at the 1.3M threshold about now. With 132,000,000 total shares that puts us at 1% ownership

I’m up to 7500 shares now. Hate that we were expecting to run this week from 3.50 and instead we’re down to 3.25. Guess it doesn’t matter though if just about everyone here is taking a long position.

Yeah I don't expect to be selling any shares until Q1 2022 at the earliest.

Can we vote to commandeer the bromine plants from Lanxess and start mining the lithium ASAP? Seriously what are these Germans waiting on?
