The wild price swings go with the territory of SLI being post up list/ pre maturity. The shorts have been having a field day with their fud. There wouldn't be any of those in this thread though.
I was surprised to find that I have a few short term shares left. Holding for the end zone.

I've actually seen a bunch of PR this month on LinkedIn. Nothing significant, but doing lots of curious things.

Freaking...I really wish I listened to my own damn advice. I said this back in January:
quote:
I only sold ~10%. This one may get back down to $4 worst case but I really don't see much lower, it's hard to value this company even pre-revenue at anything less than that. They've got freaking $100 million cash on hand. Put a low-tier mining multiple on that and it's worth $4/share, without considering their actual business model. I have the itch to sell so bad, I'm not gonna lie, this market is scary and who knows what a major correction will bring. But this is a long term hold and an EASY $1 billion target valuation. Gonna just painfully ride this downturn and not try to time it.
If you're feeling froggy, and if I were playing paper money, I think the best play is to sell now and buy back in mid Q2. But I'm not gonna gamble that much with it. Just gonna do my best not to watch it too closely and avoid playing the 'what if' game.

3 different time I told myself to take profits over the past years. I ended up buying another 1k shares instead. I am almost forced to average down if this gets low enough. We hits 2s I may have yo but heavy.

Idk man it better not hit 2

I suspect that we will get maybe three highly significant catalysts. Maybe a final assessment followed by a concrete start of construction and then the first actual production.
There could be lots of wild cards thrown in like an Elon Musk email simply saying SLI is exciting technology.

I dunno, following the latest SLI trends, the stock would probably plummet that day lol

But the day after it could plummet back to the top.

Assuming no wild cards, what might the SLI stock price go to when main construction starts? What might it go to when production begins?
Posted on 5/17/22 at 12:42 am to Auburn1968
My guess a steady 8-9 when construction starts. Once production happens it'll start rising until....who knows. I bet a steady climb into the teens and if they can ramp production up even more with all of their assets (AR/CA) then 20+ is reasonable.
If they can corner the market (I feel like I remember people talking about a patent, did that ever happen) then the sky is the limit.

I hope Koch's industries help avoid supply chain delays.

No way it's that low "when construction starts". If they get all the way to constructing the plant with lanxess, we are at a minimum of 12. I'd say a minimum of 2 bil mktcap would be fair based on capex which is fkn massive for first plant and future production. If I rmember correctly they needed almost 1 billion capex to get going.
There's so many things that will come before they actually start construction. So many shoots to zero have to be hurdled. Considering the current price is 6 right now after a steep selloff, if they get to actually constructing this production plant with lanxess and we are only at 8 or 9. That would be a massive fkn failure and we would all be dumb to be holding onto this with the current risk outlook.
I'd still say it's less than 50% chance this gets to past that point, which is why the company has a 900 million mkt cap when they are touting two projects with 2bil+ returns. I don't see anyone else with DLE that's more of a sure thing. Probably going to need massive government subsidies to make this happen, which is still very much in play.
This is the speculative small cap world; 3x from here in 2 yrs is possible, also -1x.
Last month, I've added like 200 shares to my stack now. At roughly 5.5k shares.

Capex to start up phase 1 and get production going is on the order of a quarter billion. That’s the first thing we’ll hit.
