SLI gets to keep profit of two major sources of US lithium while lanxess sells the extraction chemical. Question is whether SLI has IP protected. Maybe the next step is to get Royalties for tech...maybe with SLI and Lanxess and/or Koch

I worry about competing technology too jamiegla1. The article about Lanxess mentions geothermal brine and Jennifer Granhohm just mentioned geothermal as well. I worry that Controlled Thermal Resources/Lilac/Bill Gates/DOE/California are in bed together and Controlled Thermal Resources will get the lion's share of funding.
I'm thankful Koch is involved with SLI and hope they have the influence to ensure SLI's technology is not pushed to the side, in favor of Lilac's technology.

I’m honestly not as worried about IP protection as most.
SLI has access to the brine. That’s the valuable part of this equation. You can’t just go find lithium rich brine feed anywhere.

I just want to see urgency when it comes to producing Lithium.
It looks like SLI had a 6-12 month head start on their competition but they are not moving forward with the same rapidity as the likes of LLKKF or perhaps EEMMF.
There is more than enough demand to sell product if they are beaten to large scale production but the difference in market share is something they'll never again be able to affect so easily.

I still think they suck. Only reason I bought back in was because I felt bad about leaving the ship without a captain.

SLI has rights to Geothermal units right by the ones GM/Lilac are screwing with in Salton Sea area. Just south of Tesla's plant in southern Cal. Mojave project or whatever. Don't get much talk because it'll be a nice, but less profitable addition once Lanxess sites, Tetra and any other south Arkansas projects running.
